About Sharon

I'm British, my husband Dutch and we have 3 children. We purchased the Mulberry in October 2011. It was in a very run down state and had been very poorly converted from two 18th century cottages back in the 1970's. The renovation began. However, in September 2014 we were relocated to Singapore with my job and so decided to let the Mulberry out for holiday lets. Luckily we still get to come home once a year and enjoy the house and host our own family reunion. The picture shows our family reunion July 2015, enjoying an open fire pit on the patio.

Sharon purchased this cottage in 2011

Why Sharon chose Uplyme

It really is the best of both worlds: quite rural location for long walks and lazy afternoons, and only 10 minutes from Lyme Regis with its active social scene and beach.

An absolute treasure

  • 5 of 5

The purpose of the stay was a family birthday celebration, so we were 8 adults and 3 children. Mulberry was the perfect house. Lots of space and lovely gardens for the children to play in. If you like walking this is definitely the place to be. We loved exploring (and getting lost one time!). The walk into Lyme Regis was perfect. Much better than searching for a parking space. We had a perfect week, in a perfect house, in a perfect location.

Such a wonderful property. Perfect for our large family. Great location so close to the beach

We wanted a special place to celebrate my mother’s birthday and couldn’t have been happier. A stunning property with everything needed inside to entertain 3 generations. The kids loved the garden and having their own area for games, the kitchen has everything you needed to cook and entertain, the whole house was spacious allowing everyone space to relax. We had not been to Lyme Regis before and were really impressed with the sea front. Overall a great trip. Will definitely look to return to Mulberry. Thanks

Beautifully modernised house with very generous spaces

  • 5 of 5

Lovely welcoming hamper with delicious local produce .

Great kitchen / dining area . We were 5 couples so each having our own bathroom was ideal and the whole house layout has been well thought out with 2 living rooms and a large open space on 1st floor landing for reading , playing games etc - we even did some Pilates there !

Boot room was also very handy .

Very quiet road beside the house and we were able to park our 5 cars in the drive .

We were lucky with our weather and enjoyed several beach walks - Beer to Branscombe with lunch at Mason Arms was a favourite .
