Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday bungalow in Traverse City

A 2 bedroom 1 bath air conditioned bungalow in a quiet neighborhood 1 block from the highway (the home doesn't back up to parkway). The master bedroom has a queen size bed, 2 closets and a TV. The second bedroom is cozy with a twin over a full bunk bed. This room has one closet.

The living room and both bedrooms have wood floors that we just had refinished. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, including a full size electric stove and oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. The state park is about 1/4 mile away and has a sugar sand beach on East Bay.

Our bungalow will be a quiet retreat after a busy day visiting the beautiful Grand Traverse Area.

About Donna

I graduated from Traverse City High School as did our children. My husband attended the Maritime Academy at NMC and is a Chief Engineer who sails on a 1000 ft. freighter on the Great Lakes. I am a RN at Munson Medical Center. In the winter I like to play hockey, curl, xc-ski and snow shoe. In the summerweI enjoy mushrooming, hiking, and relaxing at our cottage. My husband enjoys fishing of any kind, winter or summer.

Donna purchased this bungalow in 2014

Perfect weekend getaway location and accommodations!

This bungalow in TC exceeded all of our expectations. Not only was it immaculate, it was well-stocked and comfortable for the four of us. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay here! Three friends and I stayed here recently during our momcation. It was clean, comfortable and in a nice quiet neighborhood. Donna was great to communicate with and there were no crazy hidden fees. Thank you, Donna!

Traverse area stay

  • 5 of 5

Traverse Area Bungalow is a very clean and comfortable place to stay in Traverse City. Our group of 4 were in the area for a wedding. The bungalow was a perfect place to stay and conviently located close to restaurants, grocery stores etc. We also loved how close the lake was. The bungalow also offers lots of amenities (like an iron and ironing board for the suits) which made it easy to just pack our personal belongings and go on our mini vacation!

Great Neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

This is a cute, simple little house in a beautiful neighborhood of Traverse City. The master bedroom is large while the second bedroom fairly small with bunks. Living area worked just fine for two of us...the kitchen is huge...so plenty of room for those who want to eat at home for their stay. The area has a ton of restaurants and is developing their farm fresh and foodie culture...and there are plenty of wine tasting opportunities very close by. A great resting place while visiting the area. Nothing fancy. Simple, clean and close.

Great location, clean, perfectly described, good owner communication

  • 5 of 5

I'm glad I chose this property. Its location was well placed for everything needed in the bay area. It's approximately three miles from town center, one road away from the bay, and a convenient bike/running trail is nearby. The neighborhood is quiet, and the neighbors were all friendly. Every morning the locals were out walking along the road.

The house was quite tidy and clean, the beds were comfortable, and even the family room chairs and couch provided a great place to relax. Because of our short stay and desire to try the local eateries, we did not use the kitchen facilities. Although, for those that would like to eat in, everything necessary for cooking was provided. The refrigerator was spotless. We had zero issues with the property and would definitely stay there again if we're in the area.

Donna's communication was immediate and provided for a peace of mind when dealing with internet transactions. A personal and cordial card awaited us from her, as well as a gift. It was unexpected, but very much appreciated. I highly recommend this property.

Traverse City is known as a top 5 foodie destination per Bon Appetite Magazine. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area known for their farm to table foods. Wine tours on both the Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsula are not to be missed. There are also many local brew pubs and distilleries in the area.

The Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes 30 miles away was voted one of the most scenic areas in the USA. Don't miss the dune climb and Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive.

Summer time includes The National Cherry Festival July 4 - 11 featuring a free air show over the bay by the USAF Thunderbirds this year. Traverse City Film Festival July 28-August 2.

Traverse Area Tart Trail is a short 3 blocks away. The bike path goes right downtown and is about a 15 minute ride and is often quicker then taking a vehicle.
