2Br.1 Ba., Open kitchen/LR, 60' to water. Private dock, family friendly beach,

This cozy, family friendly cottage is located on a very quiet, private lake. The master bedroom sports a king size bed, closet and 2 dressers. Our guest bedroom has a twin sized trundle bed (sleeps 2) and 2 dressers and a closet. There is a full bath. The screened porch over looking the lake is perfect for meals, game night, reading or just relaxing. Gas BBQ, private lakeside patio with Adirondack chairs. The open living/kitchen area is fully furnished has a flat screen T.V., and WiFi. The kitchen is stocked with all cooking and dining utensils. You will nee to provide your own linens/towels, though a washer/dryer is available. At the lake you'll find an electric motor boat for fishing , going to the private (homeowners assoc.) beach or just cruising and enjoying the lake, the lake has bass, trout, perch and pickerel. We also have a resident Bald Eagle that likes to perch just above our dock! Locally you can find outfits that run tubing, kayak and canoe rentals on the Delaware river which are close by. A local dinner theater called the Forestburgh Playhouse (get tickets early) is also a treat, as is antiquing, hiking, biking, and bird (Eagle) watching.

Beautiful stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was the second year in a row we stayed at this cottage, we absolutely love it. The house is well kept, the lake is beautiful and great for taking the kayak and boat (which are supplied for you) out for a cruise. Craig the owner is so helpful and such an easier person to deal with, he makes the stay even better knowing everything is taken care of. Coffee and tea in the morning overlooking the lake is a beautiful way to start the day. Our 4 year old son LOVED swimming in the lake this year (so did my husband and I). Great little town for all your shopping/dining needs only a couple miles away or so. If you're looking for a nice, peaceful and quiet get away with or without kids - I highly recommend this cottage. Thanks for another great stay Craig, we'll be back next year!

Quite simply, perfect.

  • 5 of 5

The home owner Craig was wonderful. Responsive and accommodating.

The cabin was as described , well stocked if you wished to cook a meal, have Internet and strong WiFi that worked great. ...

Enjoyed boating, fishing, rowing and swimming in a very clean non motorized lake.

The cabin is in short distance to the market. We had breakfast at Clancy's (and icecream another night at the Clancy parlor ). The Pecks market is great, the Liquor store is also on the corner of 55 across from Peck supermarket.. . So conveniently located to all you really need (gas sration also)..

Cabin is close proximity to neighbors.. so not a lot of privacy, but neighbors were very friendly and unintusive. We felt right at home.. and felt we had enough privacy .

We really wished we could have stayed longer... but for what it was needed for, it was perfect. (Visiting my kids who are at sleepaway)

The shower pressure was great

Having a small washer and dryer was very helpful for small loads...

. The home was clean , the tv and internet were perfect...

the bed, though firm, we surprising had the best sleep ever ! The house was clean and quaint.. we enjoyed a bbq cooked dinner in the screened porch. The kitchen is well stocked with all to cook , prepare and serve . The BBQ had plenty of gas..

Suggestions: bring a box fan during the summer (though we were a bit hot at night before bedtime.. By sleep time ...we were ok..

Open all windows !! Nice breeze...)

And the last renter or the owner ..could make sure there is full charge for next renter, on the electric motor

Craig left wonderful and detailed instructions for renters.. maybe add to replug the battery for boat so that incoming renters have a fully chared one.. and that on Sundays... the Transfer station ,where you throw garbage out ,is closed. We had a wonderful time.

Everything exceeded our expectations.. my kids enjoyed their day/ weekend at the cabin :) and we would def. Recommend and come back!

Quaint house on an awesome lake!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful vacation and would recommend this house highly. It's on a pristine crystal-clear spring fed lake. It was so nice to get out there and fish every morning and even got to see the bald eagle who frequents the lake on a few different occasions. I caught a couple of really huge largemouth bass. The location is perfect with Peck's market close by and also Bethel Woods is just a short drive away. We checked out the NACL theatre which is right there in Highland lake and saw a fantastic NYC burlesque show. Overall, I would give this vacation home a huge thumbs up! It was perfect and we are already looking forward to next year! Thanks again, Craig!

Lovely little cottage

  • 5 of 5

This is a great little cottage on a beautiful peaceful lake. The photos are a good representation of the cottage - so charmingly vintage. The property is so lovely with the lake at the bottom of the garden, properties either side but still ample privacy. Craig could not have been more helpful and we will definitely be back!

Clean, cozy perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I spent a couple nights at the cottage and had a great time!! The lake is beautiful and serene. Good fishing and the few folks we came across while on lake were extremely friendly. Including John n Fran an older couple across lake with a beautiful log home!! The fishing boat and 2 person kayak were perfect for enjoying the lake! The house is small but very nice with everything you'll need including a nice screened porch and casement windows throughout the home which provide nice circulation during summer days. The well pump decided to go out(which was replaced with a new one) during our stay which left us with no water. While inconvenient, this was an unforseen issue and the owner Craig did his best to fix the problem and even reimbursed us some money for the inconvenience. All n all the place is a perfect quiet getaway for a small family or couple!! Wish our stay could've been longer!!

We brought a fan and would recommend one if you like some white noise while you sleep as the home and area is extremely quiet.

Also would be nice if there was a small fire pit by the water to enjoy during the evening
