Come enjoy the Lake Weir Getaway on sparkling Lake Weir. The Lake Weir Getaway is nestled among the massive Live Oak trees and white sandy beaches that make Lake Weir such a special place to create great Florida memories. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. Nature is alive here as bald eagles, osprey, herons, egrets, ducks and otters make their homes on Lake Weir. The lake is also well known by fishermen for its plentiful large mouth bass, blue gill and crappie. You're welcome to bring your boat and use our dock while you're here. There's plenty of room to park your trailer. Wake boarding, water skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing are just a few of the fun water sports you can enjoy on the lake. Kids love jumping off the dock and playing in the sandy shallows. We've loaded our white sandy beach with Adirondack chairs for you to move around to find that perfect spot to wiggle your toes in the sand or snuggle in close to a beach bonfire to roast marshmallows under the stars. You'll be about 15 minutes from Publix Supermarket, WalMart, Sams Club, Sportsmans Warehouse, and every other national retailer you could think of, so don't sweat it if you forget something. And there's WiFi here to help you stay connected. Disney, Universal, and the other Orlando attractions are about an hour and a half drive from The Getaway. The Ocala National Forest boundary is 10 minutes away. The Atlantic Ocean and Gulf coast are each about an hour and a half drive and offer tons of things to see and places to visit. Explore historic St. Augustine. Swim with the manatees at Crystal River. Kayak and snorkel down crystal clear Rainbow River. Mountain bike on the Santos Trail. Fish for world class tarpon, redfish and trout. Or get unplugged and just relax! This is a duplex and we live next door, so if you're looking for a party house or place for a large family reunion, Lake Weir Getaway probably isn't for you. A maximum of 7 guests are allowed on the property and there's enough room to park three vehicles. NO PETS allowed, however, there are kennels and pet care facilities available in the area. This is a great lake house for rent in Central Florida.

perfect lake spot

perfect spot for a lake vacation, boats ,fire pit, sandy beach and a boat dock on a bueatiful lake. house has everything including a great screened in porch. owners were great to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed. we will definitely be back. perfect location close to things to do and explore. thanks Laura and Bartow for a perfect stay. Lazy days at the Lake

This is our second stay at this location and it did not disappoint! We love the quiet privacy of the property. The fishing is great. It’s such a great escape! The sunrise and sunsets are gorgeous there too! The owners are so friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend it.

Lake Fun…

The McDonald’s have a very nice Getaway, me and my family enjoyed 14 days of fun. The house was clean and the days on the lake were amazing. We will be back renting from this nice couple again. Thanks Guys!

Lake getaway

Nestled on the North Shore under the massive and ancient live oaks, you'll enjoy the magnificent serenity and beautiful waterfront that make Lake Weir so wonderful. From our naturally white sandy beach, you can watch the eagles and ospreys fly against the dramatic sunrises and sunsets. The lake's surface sparkles brilliantly during the day against an ever changing hue of blues and a full moon at night is simply magical. This is a great place to create happy memories.

What makes this property unique

Yes, the sand really is naturally this white and many of these massive oak trees that surround you are hundreds of years old. Bring your boat or rent one on the lake. Disney is a day trip and you're 15 minutes from Publix and The Villages. The Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico are an hour and a half drive.
