Why Dinah Hancock chose Bradford-on-Avon
The Old Chapel combines period charm with modern convenience in a really lovely location. It is located in a car free road ensuring total peace and quiet. The chapel is Grade II listed and built of the local stone with attractive arched 'ecclesiastical style' windows and exposed beams in the second bedroom. It benefits from facing south and enjoys sunshine throughout the day.

What else can I say Dinah is the perfect host and so accomodating. Our family totally enjoyed our Christmas stay. The cottage is well presented, clean and has everything you would need to make your stay an enjoyable one.
Would happily stay again A+
Beautiful property in a beautiful town!
We had a fantastic weekend in this lovely cottage. It's incredibly homely and cosy with lovely and thoughtful touches. Very highly recommended!
A very welcome retreat
In a wet November the warmth and comfort of this peaceful and well equipped cottage was a real delight. Dinah is a very thoughtful host, Bradford on Avon is delightful to wander in and Bath is easily very accessible too. What’s not to like ? Would thoroughly recommend ! ( If you go don’t miss the tithe barn in Bradford on Avon.)
Thank you Elaine for your lovely review. It was a pleasure having you to stay and thank you for leaving the Chapel spotlessly clean!! You are welcome back anytime. :) Best wishes Dinah
Beautifully clean, peaceful stay with charming character
We had one of our best ever stays - the property is exactly as shown in the photographs, immaculately clean everywhere and full of charm. The fresh flowers and hamper on arrival was a lovely touch along with fresh bread and milk/butter in the fridge. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of new pans, cutlery, mugs, glasses, knife set, spices, serving bowls and more.
The beds were extremely comfortable with fresh towels and little shampoos/conditioners provided.
The parking is not an issue because you can park for free on the main road (only a residential quiet road) and there were always spaces. The property is down a pathway just 1 minute walk away. You can walk into town very easily, just follow a straight path for about 10mins. There is also a small Coop nearby for groceries which was handy.
We had such a peaceful stay and would not hesitate to return again. Thank you!
Thank you Georgina for your fabulous review! It was a pleasure having you to stay and I am so pleased you had a great time. I hope to welcome you again one day. Best wishes Dinah
Fabulous stay in a delightful, beautifully furnished, excellently equipped property.
From the minute we walked up to this delightful cottage, we were smitten! Nothing changed when we opened the door; warm, welcoming and very stylish, with everything you could want or need for a very comfortable stay-including welcome goodies basket and fridge items. Furnishings and fittings were of very good quality, and the bed comfortable with quality linen. Quiet and peaceful location with lots to see and do in and around the area, much within walking distance-if you don’t mind the occasional hill climb!
We loved every minute and have plans to return! Thankyou Dinah.
Thank you Linda for your lovely review. I am so pleased you had an enjoyable stay and hope to welcome you back in the future! Many thanks

The market town of Bradford-on-Avon is steeped in history dating back to Roman times. It owes much of its prosperity and beautiful architecture to the wool trade. Today visitors enjoy exploring the historic buildings, interesting shops, numerous restaurants, cafes and pubs which are scattered around the narrow streets. The Kennet and Avon canal which played an essential role in the wool trade now offers visitors the chance to walk, cycle, canoe or take a boat trip through the beautiful countryside.
