The ruins of Frith Hall are situated in the grounds and there are plenty of walks and cycle routes from the door. Explore the Cumbrian coast, Southern Lakes and the unspoilt Western Lakes, Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. Wast Water, Hardknott Pass and Wrynose Pass are within easy reach. Guests have use of 100 acres of woodland, which is accessible on foot. Broughton-in-Furness with pubs and shops is 4 miles away. In spring, listen to the cuckoo and birds chirping away. Beach 8 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
