Built on two floors lower level has entrance hall, large bedroom, bathroom and utility room. Wooden stairs lead to Master bedroom with en suite shower room. .Extra shower room on landing. Huge living area is 40' by 16' with high pickled pine cathedral ceilings. Italian kitchen has Neff dishwasher, microwave Neff oven + hob. Gated parking. Use of communal Pool in Holetown. AC in bedrooms.

Within walking distance of Banks, Stores Pharmacy etc. A fabulous restaurant named Hugos will open in 2017 in Sand Street. It will have a table that Princess Diana favoured at the Ivy in London. Free Wifi and use of phone for local calls. Housekeeper available. Private secure car parking with electric gates.

This property is not suitable for young children or for those who find climbing stairs a problem. Two sunbeds available to use on the beach. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned as the main living space has high Cathedral ceilings plus ceiling fans and 3 sets of double doors which open plus side louvers. The side doors have hoods which means they can be left open during any showery weather conditions Internet access via wifi is available in the apartment Cook available during the day time. Fresh Tropical Flowers and sparkling wine /champagne etc can be ordered for honeymooners or other special occasions. Your fridge can be stocked with basic provisions for your arrival. Top Cars are a good company to rent from. Fancy a change? You can use the communal pool at the Beach House in Holetown, access with code from owner. Here you can dine, sunbathe and swim right on the edge of the ocean! There is a beautiful bar and restaurant newly renovated.

Paradise.

We’ve just returned from a two week stay at Coco de Mer. The location is simply stunning with wonderful views of the beach and sea. The apartment is stylish and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen.

We spent most of our time on the terrace, watching the ever changing sea.

A 10 minute walk north will find a hotel called The Almond Hotel which is based on Hayward’s Beach, where for $70US,, per person, you can buy a day pass. This will cover use of sun beds either by the pool or on the beach, all drinks, lunch and afternoon tea from 10 am until 6pm. Use of their water sports and game facilities is also inlcuded. Whilst this wouldn’t be something you’d want to do everyday, it does represent very good value for money.

Hugo’s restaurant was good and worth a visit with it’s beautiful location and set up. It’s a very easy walk into the town centre from the apartment where there are a number of bars, restaurants and supermarkets to choose from. Jude looked after us extremely well and was always at the end of the phone if needed. Thank you Jude. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to Coco de Mer, it really is paradise.

I was sitting on the deck last night watching the calm sea with the moon reflected in the water and it was a magical sight. There seem to be a lot of new bars with complimentary sun beds in Speightstown now which is great.. Speightstown is definitely transforming into an extra special resort. Beautiful Apartment with Stunning View

This is a beautiful apartment which comfortably sleeps a family of 4 (two adults, teenager and 9 year old). The kitchen is well equipped and the whole apartment has been tastefully furnished by Jude, who is clearly very house proud, giving the apartment a real 'luxury' feel about it (exactly as it looks in the photos). Location is great as the beach opposite is lovely (fine soft sand) and stays quiet even at the weekends. Sitting out and eating on the balcony provides some of the best sea views on the island, particularly as the balcony faces west for the setting sun, and there is a constant sound of breaking waves - very relaxing.

Swimming from the beach is good, but you shouldn't go in without footwear on as there are stonefish in the shallows whose spines are very poisonous (our daughter and a Canadian from one of the other apartments both stepped on one during the week we were there). This applies island wide so be careful! We spent quite a bit of time on the beach where our 9 year old daughter enjoyed making sand castles, and we all enjoyed messing about in the waves.

Only reason not to give 5 stars was the noise from the dogs in the neighbouring houses which tended to start a chorus of barking and howling for about 30 minutes at around 6am each morning, waking us all up. The apartment block is in a local rather than tourist area which means there can be local issues (like the dogs) which are beyond the control of the apartment owners. The flip side of that though is that the local nature of the location means the beach is quiet and free of touts and motorised watersports.

Overall we felt this was a beautiful apartment and in a great location for the type of relaxed holiday we enjoy. We felt the inconvenience from the dog noise was minor, relative to the positives of the apartment and its location, and would recommend it to friends and family.

beautifully presented apartment in ideal position opposite the beach and close to Speightstown

The view from the balcony is stunning and the proximity of the beach makes this the ideal place for relaxing. Everything one could need was to hand and the full length window/doors on two sides of the living area gave loads of light and allowed air to circulate. This meant that the lack of working air conditioning in the living room was not a problem. The host had left loads of handy notes about the workings of the appliances etc and the huge fridge was a godsend! The bars restaurants and shops of Speightstown commence a few hundred yards to the south and there is something for all tastes. We can recommend the Fisherman’s Pub for good basic inexpensive Bajan food and Nick the owner of the Orange Street Grocer is a superb host who serves excellent pizzas among other dishes. The beach directly opposite Whitesands is quite stoney and swimming shoes are an idea. However the sand shifts with the tide so it’s worth checking all along the beach for the best spot to swim. As we were leaving a new restaurant is opening diagonally across the road from the apartment and we don’t know if this will affect the peace and quiet we enjoyed, only time will tell. To conclude, you get exactly what is described by the owner. The booking process is simple, there is on-island support at the end of the telephone and we had no complaints whatsoever.

Must have spent millions of dollars on it. They have valet parking and have illuminated the ocean at night which is very beautiful to see from the terrace. Shame you missed its opening. Fantastic apartment in a fantastic location

We have just spent a week at Coco de Mer and absolutely loved it. The views are to die for and we could choose to either walk 5 minutes one way to a stunning beach with amazing snorkelling or 5 minutes the other way to the shops, restaurants and another sheltered bay. We will be back. We LOVED it.

A great time! What a way to see Barbados!

We were met on our arrival at Coco de Mer by Sarah, who did a great job of showing us around Jude's beautiful home! Well appointed with everything you can imagine, especially a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Being an end unit, the penthouse is airy with sea breezes blowing through the side and end doors. This provided a perfect relief from the hot mid day sun after our daily outings.

We enjoyed great day trips using only the buses as transportation leaving from the bus terminal a block away from home base. The trips included the Animal Flower Caves at the north end of the island, Bathsheba on the Atlantic side and Bolador Catamaran tour out of Bridgetown.

The best snorkeling of the trip was right out front of the condo where, at one point, we swam alongside a sea turtle for about twenty minutes. Incredible!

Overall, a wonderful time, in a beautiful home, in an amazing country!

What a view!

My husband and I, along with our adult daughter, had a great stay at Coco de Mer in March.

Set over two floors, the apartment is spacious and cool with lots of useful amenities. The kitchen, in particular, is extremely well equipped.

The view from the terrace at sunset is completely beautiful. Although there is a restaurant currently under construction to the right of the building, this did not bother us as we were out during the daytime when any machinery was in action.

There were a few issues with internet while we were staying, but Jude was quick to sort these out and responsive at all times.

Speightstown is wonderful. It is quieter than other more touristy parts of the West Coast and a perfect place to relax. We did not have a car and were able to walk to lots of restaurants, beaches and bars. Lots of restaurants on the West Coast also offer an all inclusive taxi service (included in the price of the meal) if you wanted to venture further afield.

Overall, a great holiday with some fantastic memories. Would recommend and hope to come back in the future!

The views are wonderful and have been enhanced further by the removal of power lines In the street which opens up the vista brilliantly... this has been carried out by the new 'high end' Restaurant Hugos, which is an exciting new venture in our vicinity. I hear that it will feature the table that Princess Diana used at The Ivy Restaurant in London . When you were staying a fibre optic wifi system was installed, which disrupted your supply temporarily regrettably but it was worth it to gain the efficiency of a fast wifi system. We were happy to provide a cell phone and an alternative wifi source to avoid any loss of communication... Hope to see you soon in Barbados.. Best Wishes Jude

Coco De Mer is located meters from the wonderful blue Sea with a beautiful deck where you can watch sunsets, stargaze sipping your champagne cocktail. This lovely 2 bed 3 bath corner property on West Coast BARBADOS is just North of historic Speightstown and the sound of the waves soothe your days and nights.

This is real Barbados with fruit and vegetables sold on the colorful streets. A small road runs between the white sand beach and the penthouse where you may see a turtle emerge from the ocean to lay her eggs. Port St Charles beach where priceless yachts are moored is 10 min away or relax on a sunbeds on our beach if you can bear to leave your own sundeck!. Sensational restaurants such as the cliff and Sandy Lane are located in a 5mile radius. The road to the east coast with breathtaking wild surf and natural beauty is easily accessible as is Mullins Beach. Supermarkets, Pharmacy, Banks and Restaurants are in walking distance as is the Orange Street Grocer a great place to dine!

Other Activities: Local hotel offers inexpensive day pass for water sports, golf, meals etc. Reefers and Wreckers Dive Shop is located a few minutes away!

Golf: Royal Westmoreland, Sandy Lane and Apes Hill are superb Golf Courses. Also the Barbados Golf Club further south.

I cannot emphasise enough the beauty of the East coast with its wild waves and salty winds blown in from miles away. A surfers paradise.. Not to be missed!
