Manor Farm Cottages are situated in the village of Buckton, close to the RSPB Bempton Nature Reserve where you can see puffins and guillemots in their natural habitat. A bird watcher’s haven, home to more than 250,000 sea birds. Enjoying delightful countryside and a peaceful village setting close to the east coast, these charming cottages have been converted from former stables and a hayloft. A warm welcome awaits as you drive into what was the old farmyard. The cottages encompass the square, each with its own patio; a real sun trap and sheltered from the weather. The freedom to wander up into the shared gardens where there’s a children’s slide and outdoor games, will appeal to those with children. The cottages are a great base to visit the east coast, the North Yorkshire Moors, and not forgetting the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and made famous by the David Hockney paintings. The seaside resorts of Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey are just a short drive away with large, open sandy beaches, or for those of you who prefer a quieter resort, Flamborough Head is close by with stunning walks along the clifftops from North to South Landing. Visit the stately homes and beautiful gardens of Burton Agnes, Castle Howard and Sledmere House, and a children’s zoo and land train at Sewerby Hall. The bustling market towns of Malton, Pickering and Beverley, renowned for its minster and racecourse, are all worth a visit. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile. The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests.
