A very nice base to tour Madrid from

My family of 5 just finished a weeks stay at this property. It was all very good, and I would like to give 4.5 stars, but the system doesn't allow for that. The owner let us check-in a couple of hours early. Which was a very welcome thing, as our flight arrived early, and we had no other place to go. The things that keep it from being a full 5 stars are: Inconsistent water temperature during showers, it would occasionally swing from hot to cold and back again. The washing machine was unreliable and sometimes did not function properly. Also, there is no dryer and no good way to dry our clothes. Maybe this is only a problem during winter months, but the drying rack doesn't work well in February and we had to spread our damp clothes around the apartment to dry them. Lastly, the shower drain in the guest bathroom doesn't seem to drain properly and water starts to back up onto the floor. None of theses things are major, and it really is a nice property, with nice views of the city. I definitely recommend this apartment. With a few touches it would easily be worthy of 5 stars.

Best place to stay in Madrid

We just got back from Europe and this is Definitely the best place to stay in Madrid. Miguel Angel was the best host. Such a gentleman. We flew in early to Madrid from Paris and he was willing to receive us in his apartment earlier than the check in time. Very helpful host. He showed us how everything in the apartment works and had a sheet with tips to get around the apartment and around Madrid. The bus stops in front of the apartment complex and takes you to every place worthy of visiting. (Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, Jardines de Sabatini, etc.) The fare only 1.50 Euros. By the way, the view from the apartment is spectacular. The pictures Miguel Angel has posted are exactly what you'll see. Very clean modern and cozy apartment. Grocery store located nearby and a mall with several very good food places. We walked across the street to a tapas bar named Solanito... awesome place (Ask for Fernando and Maria). In conclusion we'll come back to this place when we go back to Spain. I recommend it.

Comfortable and spacious with a pool

This is a very nicely appointed modern property. Our check-in was marred by the fact that the taxi dropped us off in the wrong place. The person dropping off the keys was kind enough to come find us and walk us to the correct place. There was lots of room for our family, air conditioning in all the rooms and nice touches like shampoo, body wash and laundry pods. Linens were good quality and there were towels laid out. We had a few little glitches, but the owner was very responsive where things could be addressed and later provided a partial refund to acknowledge what couldn't be addressed at the time (I'm confident that the issue has since been dealt with). I wish I had done a little more research on the transportation options as it wasn't quite as convenient to get into downtown Madrid as I had thought. There is a bus stop very close by, but it doesn't go directly to the downtown core. The metro is about a 15 minute walk away, which wasn't too bad as we weren't in a hurry most days. The outdoor pools (one kiddie/wading pool and a deeper one for swimming) were nice and had attendants during the open hours. The view of the cathedral is not quite a close as in the picture, but the evening view of Madrid is lovely. All things considered, we had a positive stay at this property and I would recommend it for people / families who don't want the noise and hyperness of being right downtown. I think that the modern space, air con and pool were worth a longer walk to the metro or a bit more uber-ing.
