About Glenna Hopper

I grew up here and helped build the house which started as a remodel of our horse barn and expanded from there. the inside paneling is the original 1930's exterior wood from the barn. The house has offered sanctuary to 4 generations. we have watched the land and ecological succession over the years and have bird records since 1971. We love sharing our home and sanctuary with others and offer the spiritual transformation of peace and solitude.

Glenna Hopper purchased this house in 1978

Why Glenna Hopper chose Big Horn National Forest

Enjoy a relaxed home with all of the amenities, but with the added luxury of outdoor activities, wildlife abounds, some species of hummingbirds nest only here. We've seen bears and mountain lions passing through, no worries. Moose have wandered on to the porch. the fishing is amazing. walks are soothing and rejuvenating. and yes theres social activities. A beautiful church. hikes out the back door. horseback trips, fishing but mostly peaceful solitude and rejuvenation.

Great weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying in this home. It had plenty of space for the whole group, and we loved the character of the home and grounds. It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen, as everything you needed was already there. Glenna was very friendly and made us feel so welcome. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Perfect Hunting Launchpad

  • 5 of 5

Had a Great time using it as a base for our Hunting Trip. Glenna totally knocked herself out making sure we had everything we needed, and getting any information we asked for. The place is totally stocked up with linens and everything you need in the kitchen. Lots of room to spread out, especially for a bunch of guys. Thanks for a Wonderful weekend and hope to get back soon!

Quiet Getaway with extra bonus

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home in conjunction with a family reunion / wedding. The house is clean and cozy with a well equipped kitchen. It is very quiet and peaceful with a large backyard with a surprising extra. Each morning we were greeting by a gathering of local wildlife. A flock of wild turkeys and numerous deer grazed and foraged in the back yard. The owner provides feed to put out for the wildlife.

We enjoyed our stay and would like to thank the owner for gracious hospitality. We would definitely recommend this property for a quiet relaxing stay in the Story Wyoming area.

Fantastic, unique home in a wonderful location!

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't have found a more awesome vacation home anywhere. It was so comfortable, and we loved the furnishings, the decor, and being in the midst of nature, including the wildlife that came into the backyard--ie--deer, turkeys, squirrels, birds, and we could commune with them up close and personal. The art work in all the rooms, was beautiful. Much of it done by the owner, who is so talented. We also enjoyed getting to visit with her. We all had a wonderful time in the best vacation home ever!
