Beautiful cottage close to everything you would ne
We stayed at Aggies Cottage for 5 nights with our 2 young boys (1 and 4) and absolutely loved it. There were 2 Easter eggs waiting for us as well which was a wonderful little touch. The Cottage was clean and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed within it. None of the amenities are too far away and the gorgeous coast is a short drive away. I would definitely recommend Aggies Cottage to anyone.
great cottage, in a delighful setting
Really enjoyed our stay. Would go back again. The Devon cream tea welcoming us was very much appreciated
Absolutely idyllic!! Have recommended to friends!
Perfect for us and our four grandchildren. Safe environment and play area. Liked the open lay out of the cottage as you are all together when cooking and eating. Cottage very well equipped, much better than we anticipated. Much thought has gone into it. Owners of cottage very friendly. We have recommended this property to friends and family who are looking at staying there next year.
Beautiful cottages and gardens. Amazing sunset from the gardens. We hired aggies and dollys barn as we were getting married at tunnels. The whole family loved it. Owners were friendly and very helpful. Thank you so much Stan.
From initial inquiry to check-out, this was a very positive experience. Everyone we dealt with was exceptionally helpful and professional and the property was a lovey retreat.
Aggie's Cottage is superbly equipped and beautifully clean and tidy. It's the little things that often count the most and, in this case, the cottage is a real home-from-home with items like a new sponge and cloth for washing up; greaseproof paper for baking; tin foil; cling film and pretty much every kitchen item you could possibly need.
On top of this, the place is nicely furnished with comfortable beds and a spacious and well thought-out living area.
Tim, Kathy and family were so welcoming and happy to do what they could to make our stay a very relaxing one. We will definitely be back.
Clean welcoming beautifully decorated barn, great for bringing a big family together.
Would have loved big towels only criticism.
Thank you for super weekend.
Aggie's Cottage is set high on the cliffs above Ilfracombe, with sea views from the landscaped garden.
The cottage is about a mile away from Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast where visitors can choose from a range of bars and restaurants, browse the local shops or hop on board one of the boats setting sail for Lundy Island. Ilfracombe is home to Damian Hirst's statue 'Verity', which overlooks the gorgeous harbour, the contemporary artist also has his own bar/restaurant in the town. For something a little more special, the Olive Room is a Michelin star restaurant run by Tom Carr and well worth a visit.
For guests visiting the Tunnels or attending a wedding at the venue, Aggie's Cottage makes a great base as it is only a few minutes' drive away.
The trendy surfing villages of Woolacombe and Croyde are further along the coast, and about a 10-15 minute drive depending on the traffic. Woolacombe is the award-winning beach that many visitors will fall in love with thanks to its cleanliness and family friendly atmosphere; for surfers Croyde is a more popular choice with the waves setting a bigger challenge. Other nearby beaches include Saunton Sands, Lee Bay and Combe Martin, all of which have something different to offer their visitors. Watermouth Cove is also a great place to discover if you are interested in more extreme water sports such as jet ski-ing.
Within a half-hours drive of the cottage is Exmoor National Park, where visitors can admire the rugged landscape or stop off in one of the many tea rooms serving traditional cream teas. Combine your trip with a visit to Lynton and Lynmouth where Exmoor meets the sea, these pretty twin villages are linked by the Cliff Railway and are home to several craft shops selling a variety of souvenirs.
Also, close by are several attractions. For garden lovers RHS Rosemoor and Broomhill Scultputre Gardens are within easy reach, or alternatively for families there is the Big Sheep, Exmoor Zoo and the Combe Martin Wildlife Park. Many of the attractions within the local area will offer a discount if tickets are booked online, so it is well worth having a look at these before setting off.
