About Tim Barratt
Born in Shropshire the owner has a large family and equally large collection of animals. They bought Pitt Farm six years ago and have enjoyed the challenge of restoring the house and its grounds to the highest standard whilst preserving its historic features. As a family we enjoy a number of outdoor pursuits, all of which are readily available locally.
Tim Barratt purchased this Farmhouse in 2010
Why Tim Barratt chose Minehead
The Lywoods have been visiting West Somerset for many years and Pitt Farm presented the opportunity to have a unique house, close to the Sea and yet with all the obvious advantages of being in the Exmoor National Park.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Pitt has stunning views of the Moor and an exceptional garden with two fresh water pools and a small brook running past the sun terrace and is within easy reach of Historic Porlock Weir and a wealth of other beauty spots.

This lovely house made our stay in Exmoor a magical experience.
What a fantastic property! My family and I, ten of us in all, simply loved this place. Ten of us were celebrating my husband's 80th birthday and Pitt Farm was the perfect setting. It has been beautifully and very sympathetically restored and certainly has the wow factor. We loved the space, the nooks and crannies, the grounds, the stream running by the terrace, and the superb location in a beautiful valley. Wonderful memories.
Wonderful family retreat
Pitt Farm was everything we expected and more. We were a party of 7 adults and 4 children. The garden was so spacious that the children could play to their hearts content. The house was wonderful. The large kitchen diner had ample room for everyone and still had a cosy feel to it.All the rooms were well decorated.
And of course Exmoor is magnificent.
In short we had a wonderful week with all our children and grand children.
Well furnished and secluded cottage
The house was well appointed and equipped. Easy to find, once you could navigate down the narrow lanes. The garden was a delight and the grandchildren loved the stream. A few 'how to guides' would have helped with the appliances.
Quality property in a beautiful location
Simply stunning property , set in a wonderful location.... would highly recommend.
Wonderful house, wonderful location with walks from the door.
The property was immaculate, very high speck BUT unsuitable for folk with mobility problems e.g steps at every doorway,no handrail on a circular walled stairway .Difficulty finding light switches, often behind an open door with a step. No key to open conservatory doors, had to go the long way round to use the sunny terrace;thermostat gone on range so dangerously hot at times...would have been good to have a conventional oven in an otherwise lovely kitchen.Property needs checking throughout for suitability for 10 people ,we were only 7
