We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Melody House. The house is very nice and was very clean upon our arrival. The back porch and deck were great for relaxing and enjoying dinner and drinks. It's mostly secluded with a wonderful view of the woods. The giant window in the master bedroom was great to wake up to. We will definitely be back.
My husband and I were very impressed with the home and property. The Melody house we stayed in had a log cabin feel to it with all the amenities of your own home and more. The home was very clean and well maintained. The views from the Melody house were spectacular and very peaceful. Our first day we went to Tunica Hills for some hiking and returned before the rain came. We enjoyed some wine and a fire in the fireplace on the outside covered porch while it rained. The next day was spent visiting some plantation homes and the historic parts of St. Francisville. Our favorite restaurant was Satterfield's in New Roads because we got to eat outside on the water. We returned home on the third day telling all our family about our little trip and showed lots of pictures. I booked this trip for my husband's birthday. He deals with a lot of stress at work and i wanted something peaceful for him. He really enjoyed the peacefulness of the property and relaxing while at the Melody House. I never had a chance to meet the owner of the property, but he is only a text away. A few times I texted him and he responded immediately and is very courteous.
Thee homes are so lovely, with so many outdoor features: screened porches, outdoor fireplace and gazebos... We didn't want to leave. Coffee on the porch was amazing. The owners were super accomodating. Every amenity you could want!
We stayed October 8 th thru 10th 2015.
The cabin is spacious and beautiful. The piano adds an elegant touch. The kitchen is huge and top notch. The back closed in porch with fireplace is more like an extended living room and back deck and patio view were so romantic with all the lights. Great romantic getaway.
Owner was great. He texted to check on us several times but never invaded our privacy
I planned a get-away for my husband's birthday. We needed a few days to relax and get recharged in nature. Only a 2 hour drive away it was just what we were looking for. We expected nice, but we were overwhelmed with the property, the accommodations at Melody house, the hospitality and the proximity to Tunica Hills. My husbands response, "You did good!" He said it about three times over the weekend. Lol. We had a wonderful time! Thanks Vincent and Keith!!!!
