About the property

The apartment is 20 minutes by road from Faro airport and located in landscaped gardens in the up-market resort of

Vila Sol village. The south facing balcony overlooks rolling lawns, mature trees, three swimming pools, jacuzzi and poolside cafe.

The apartment is furnished and equipped to a high standard with three double bedrooms one en-suite, two bath/shower rooms, large lounge/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with reverse cycle heating/cooling throughout.

The apartment has a dedicated, free, unlimited, fibre-optic wifi (100/10 mbps), flatscreen TV, DVD player and stereo system. Approximately 150 news, movie and sports TV channels are available in English, Portuguese, German, French, etc. These include Sky Sports 1-5, Eira Sports 1-4, BT Sport 1-3, Eurosport 1-2, etc, etc.

The kitchen is equipped with hob, oven, two fridge-freezers, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier.

The balcony has a large gas BBQ, dining table seating 6 and 2 sun loungers and has motorised blinds to shield direct sun.

At the village entrance is a small shopping area with mini market/deli, bar, and a handful of restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets including one offering a take away service. The 5* Pestana Vila Sol Hotel, 27 hole golf courses and tennis centre are also located on the resort. Vilamoura/Quarteira with their beaches, golf courses and night life are 10 minutes away by car.

My wife and I have spent most of my working life overseas, largely in the tropics, and required something to escape to should something go pear shaped in our working country. The property has had little use but we are now recently retired and are now enjoying the property, particularly in the Spring and Autumn.

The property was the last phase in the building of the Vila Sol oval village and the build quality was high. Most importantly to us, the mature trees were kept inside the oval and with irrigation and a first class team of gardeners, the inside of the oval is a maintained green throughout the year.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the first floor with a large balcony which receives the sun from late morning through to sunset. The apartment is 20 minutes drive from Faro airport and is part of an exclusive gated development containing three swimming pools, 2 children’s pools and jacuzzi set amidst mature gardens. Being on the first floor, the apartment enjoys superb views over the landscaped gardens whilst access to the private and secure gardens and pools is a mere 50m walk.

The apartment is furnished to a particularly high standard and offers cable gas BBQ, TV, music system and DVD player. There is a selection of restaurants for all tastes and pockets within walking distance. This is an ideal destination for families and golfers and those seeking a centre to explore the Algarve and the history of the Roman and Muslim conquests.

A top quality apartment at Vila Sol

We stayed at this apartment at the end of May for the half term holidays with my two daughters, husband and parents. We have stayed in similar accommodation on the Vila Sol resort for the last couple of years, so we knew what to expect from the resort itself. The apartment was amazing. We have nothing bad to say. The Balcony was huge, the furniture and beds were fab, the wi fi and TV Channels all worked well - it contained everything you needed for a wonderful holiday. Even nice quality bed linen!! I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone wanting to stay at this resort. The owners were very friendly as was the in-country rep that provided access.

Very comfortable, with quick access to secure pools and grassed areas.

Really impressed by the apartment's space and comfort. Everything you could think of had already been provided.

All rooms have their own air con unit so they can be adjusted to suit individual preferences.

There is a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and grassed areas; most evenings we are on the balcony food that we'd cooked in the kitchen or on the effective gas barbecue.

The kitchen is comprehensively equipped, making food preparation straightforward.

The areas around the pools allow you to have all day sun if that is what you want. Alternatively, the many trees provide shady areas where you can relax before a swim in the well maintained pools.

The apartment is within easy reach of the excellent local fish and vegetable markets, if you want to eat in.

Local beaches are also within easy reach.

In summary, an excellent place to stay for a great family holiday.

Great Apartment in excellent surroundings.

We've just spent 2 wonderful weeks in Vila Sol and enjoyed it so much we re-booked whilst there !!

We have stayed within this area on 3 separate occasions and this apartment suited are requirements perfectly.

The photos really don't fully show just how much space you have and the quality of the fittings/furniture.

The process of booking from start to finish was simple and straightforward, Nick answered my frequent questions and gave good advice which helped us have an even better experience of what the surrounding area has to offer.

We did hire a car and although this is not essential it did allow us to explore the many surrounding resorts of Vilamoura, Quateria, Vale de Lobo, Quinto do Lago and Olhos d'Agua all within a 20 minute drive.

Nick also gave advice on where best to cycle as I like to explore on the road bike as well and the area just beyond San Bras Alportel was a cyclists dream. Quiet well maintained roads and beautiful scenery !!

Also managed to play golf at Pinhal and Vila Sol and would recommend either course.

Apartment was clean and tidy and very well stocked in terms of kitchen equipment. Location great.

This apartment is in great condition and other than Sky Sports has everything you would need for a holiday. It is located approx 10 minutes from Vilamoura Marina by car but luckily you have a few restaurants and bars almost at your door step (which does have Sky Sports). Along with the BBQ this gave us , as a family , a great choice in the evening so we didn't need to drive every night. The golf course is also only a few minutes drive away. There is loads of space around the pool area's so we where never short of a bed or somewhere to kick a ball around. I would recommend this to anyone. Great spot and Nick and Suzanne have obviously looked after the place very well. They have also put there own mark on it which makes it interesting.

Owner's Response: Morning Colin We have just returned from the delightful high 20s C of Portugal to the low teens of Scotland and whilst there, we looked into your inability to obtain Sky Sport 1. We have 154 channels coming through the resort system including Sky Sports 1-5, Eire Sports 1-4, BT Sport 1-3, EuroSport 1-2 plus Racing UK, BTEurosport, etc. and have no idea why they were missing for you; sorry you had to resort to the bar down the road!
