Condition Note:

We feel it is worth disclosing the following to avoid any disputes or misunderstandings. The house is over a 150 years old and has many antique and older items. Some walls are the original torchis (mud and straw) and not perfectly true or smooth, floor boards may be unlevel and furniture doors may squeak. This does not come across on photos, whilst most people will appreciate the house, perfectionists and people used to staying in 5 star hotels may be disappointed. The standard aimed for is safety, cleanliness, comfort and function.

Great Family House
A lovely old French house, plenty of space and lots of things for the kids to do, table tennis a complete winner. Rather sad to see most of the curtains hanging off the rails and kitchen doors hanging off. Also if you are looking for a place with comfortable beds and nice bedding and towels this may not be the place for you. Having said that, we had a wonderful time. The area and people were also wonderful.

Spacious living in a peaceful location
A lovely spacious house in a very tranquil setting. Clean and comfortable, with a very well equipped kitchen. The bathrooms had been recently refurbished and were spotless. We travelled as a family of five, with three children under the age of twelve. All were happy - the games/tv room at the top of the house was a hit, and the bikes too. Neighbours of the owners were very helpful during our five night stay - our arrival was met with a bottle of Normandy cider and cake, and they popped in the following day to see if all was well. Dieppe is only 25 minutes away, where we had lovely seafood. Also an excellent fishmongers, as well as cafes etc. The beach there is pebble, but there are sandy ones further afield. We enjoyed our stay and will return in future, there's plenty more in the area to explore.

Owned by the Cresswell family. Stephen & Sonia look after the house. All are keen on socialising and entertaining.

Why they chose this property

The property is family owned and was used as a holiday home and for entertaining for many years. We have recently decided to put the house on the rental market so it can be used by others.

It is close to South of England, it is in a very relaxing location allowing us to get away from the pressures and congestion back at home. Always sleep well due to the quiet and the fresh Normandy air (also the wine!).

What makes this property unique

The house has a homely and welcoming aspect that you feel as you drive to the door. It has plently of character and a place where you really feel you can kick back and relax with friends.
