About Claire Fuller

We always enjoyed visiting Devon when our son and daughter were growing up, we had some super family holidays together. Now they have left home we decided that it would be ideal to have a place to go to for holidays, where we can all meet up again and relax. We work long hours in our own businesses and look forward to spending quality time together here as often as we can.

The bungalow is very relaxing as it set in a peaceful setting with lots of gorgeous views. Although it is in a rural setting, there are so many places to visit within just a few miles.

We hope you enjoy spending time here as much as we do!

Why Claire Fuller chose Sidmouth

We fell in love with this property when we first saw it in 2013.

Our bungalow is one of a small number of similar properties which are situated within Stoneleigh Holiday Village, just 3 miles from Sidmouth. The area is so peaceful, the views are amazing and being close to the Donkey Sanctuary is a definite bonus.

It's lovely to see the donkeys around and it's excellent to be close to so many wonderful flat, safe walks that are around the Donkey Sanctuary and available for all to enjoy. It always helps us to slow down and connect with nature.

The Donkey Sanctuary has recently opened a brand new cafe too, serving breakfasts from 9-11 am as well as light snacks throughout the day, all just a short walk away.

Until very recently our property has been run by a management company. We have now chosen to run it ourselves so that we can provide a personal, friendly service with the extra attention to detail that we always appreciate on holiday and feel sure that you will too.

Beautiful location. Spacious property. Has just about everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Lovely place. Close to 'easy to reach' tourist areas. Especially if you want to fossil hunt. They do a wonderful fossil hunting trip from Lyme Regis museum. Donkey Sanctuary next door is well worth a visit and does gorgeous breakfasts.

Bright, Contemporary , Well equipped and in a Fantastic Location

  • 5 of 5

Daisy is located on a very quiet holiday village complex in a fantastic location within easy reach of the sea and lots of South Devon attractions. There are no facilities on the complex - just small groups of other similar properties - almost a positive if you are looking for security and quiet without the commercialism The bungalow is very clean, tidy and pretty well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Very light and bright with access out to ground overlooking countryside and the sea - great for little ones to run around!. Great sized bathroom with separate bath and shower. Both bedrooms are spacious and furnished with super comfy beds. Parking is adjacent to the property in a shared parking spot. Just a few minutes walk away is the Donkey Sanctuary - which is a fantastic visit and also very handy to walk to for breakfast, lunch, tea or just coffee and cake. Couple of miles away is the lovely seaside town of Sidmouth - very easy to get to with a really nice beach - albeit stoney! Highly recommend Blue Ball Inn for local food - just a couple of minutes drive from the bungalow. Great base for exploring the area. There is little or no signal for phones or broadband - but this is being worked on - and its great for a complete escape. Reception is good at the Donkey Sanctuary or when you get to main road. We enjoyed our time here and could recommend it.

Fantastic property, in a quiet location.

  • 5 of 5

We got away as a mini-moon after recently getting married. The property is lovely, clean and very relaxing. It had everything we could need or ask for.

It's a quiet location, but there are enough pubs and shops nearby, as well as being very close to the sea and seaside shops.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing, which we needed after the stresses of organising a wedding.

Thank you.

Daisy - the name of our property was very comfortable and easy to stay in.

  • 4 of 5

The only problem we had was the very hot weather and the sun shone right in, through the skylight windows and the lounge patio doors. The heat was uncomfortable until the sun went down, and there was no shade.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review Rosie, we are glad you found Daisy comfortable and easy to stay in. We are sorry about the hot weather, unfortunately we can’t control the weather but when we have been there in warm weather we always draw all of the curtains before we go out, so that it is cooler when we get back; there is also a fan provided. We then open up the patio doors to let a gentle breeze in upon our return.

A little piece of paradise!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you to the owners for our wonderful stay at Daisy! Checking in was very straight forward and it was so lovely to be provided with milk, biscuits, tea/coffee, shower gel - completely unexpected but it's those little extras that make your stay.

The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and more - fully equipped kitchen, reading books for the children as well as puzzles and DVDs. Beds were very comfortable and heating was efficient. Everything was impeccably clean and beautifully kept. Outdoor space was huge - lots of grass for children to run around on and the whole place felt very safe and secure. We often saw rabbits hopping in the grass which was a real treat! We don't get many of those here in London ;)

Just across the road from the main entrance you can find the gate into the donkey sanctuary - well worth a visit! We've been coming to Weston for a few years now and always make time to go here (sometimes daily!), It's a wonderful place, and with the new addition of "the Kitchen" cafe/restaurant there is even more reason to visit. We went for a cooked breakfast there one morning - very good food! The cakes looked impressive too. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.

Stoneleigh is well located, not too far from all of the places we like to visit - Crealy, Pecorama, the beaches at Beer and Branscombe, Sidmouth, Otterton (great swimming pool at Ladram Bay!). Greendale Farm shop also a must!

All in all a wonderful time had by us, I would recommend Daisy to anyone, and in fact I don't have a single negative thing to say as everything was just perfect. Thank you for our stay.

Stoneleigh Holiday Village is between Sidmouth and Beer, close to the Jurassic Coast. It is a very peaceful and rural setting and it is next door to the well known Donkey Sanctuary which is open all year round and has a superb modern cafe serving delicious breakfasts, lunches and snacks.

There are also many good, flat, grassy walks nearby which surround the Donkey Sanctuary.

There are so many interesting places to visit nearby; we particularly enjoy going to Lyme Regis, just a little further on from Beer, where there is a lovely long walk you can do along The Cobb, by the sea, with many pubs and cafes too. Lyme Regis is a quaint coastal town in South West Dorset and is twinned with St. George in Bermuda!
