I'm a Phoenix City rat now, but grew up along the ocean shores of Oregon. Our little Phoenix Villa Cottage has a Beachy flair! We live in the main house just a stones throw from the Beachy Villa. We interact with our guests as much or as little as you wish. We are sure you will enjoy a relaxing, peace-filled stay right in the heart of the city!

We could not have been more pleased with our stay. Mary and family did not miss a beat. Tasteful, thoughtful decor, immaculate inside and out. The new bath and shower are huge. The kitchen had everything one would need.... double farm sink, great stove, large frig, lots of storage, a great island that was built by Mary! Comfy couch and bed. Lots of light. Large pool, great green space, and large area for just relaxing or enjoying the sunshine.
An added bonus was their two dogs....gentle, and playful.
Mary's children, Ian, Natalie and Claire were so helpful and friendly.
The neighborhood is beautiful. Bikes are available, and I so enjoyed being able to walk and view the other gorgeous homes in this historic area of Phoenix. Close to great restaurants, a market, the Heard a Museum, the Phoenix Art Museum, and other points of interest.
We definitely look forward to a return visit.
Mary and her family, including the four-legged ones, will go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and comfortable. Then all you need to do is settle in and enjoy all the area has to offer. This becomes especially easy when your accommodations are lovely, clean and charming and the location is peaceful, yet city sights are so accessible. The Phoenix Art Museum and Heard Museum (with an excellent restaurant) are both within walking distance. Other great sights/experiences like the Desert Botanical Garden, Taliesan West, South Mountain Park, Old Scottsdale, Cosanti, etc are all a short drive away. You can also take a day road trip to Sedona, making short stops at Montezuma Castle on the way there and Jerome on the way back. Then return "home" where you'll have everything needed to prepare dinner if you wish, enjoy the huge, relaxing shower, take a look at the books & movies provided or just hang out in the cozy cottage. Enjoy
Central location, lovely and spacious cottage. We liked the walking, the birds, the proximity to good restaurants. Darling renovation in historic area. Huge kitchen with everything.
Everything we could have wished for in this vacation villa was there and exceeded all expectations. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The beach décor throughout the home was awesome. The kitchen, as well as all other rooms, were beautiful and spotless just like the pictures. Everything you would ever need was right there. We were treated like family and had a wonderful memorable time. We will return!
This cottage-like guest house is a gem set behind the garden gates of a large Spanish style older home. Everything about it is delightful - its décor, its location, its well-equipped kitchen, its friendly host family including charming dogs. Being able to walk to the Art Museum, Heard Museum (both excellent and have café-restaurants) and the theatre was particularly appealing, yet the area is quiet. It was a great choice for the 2 of us and we'd recommend it easily to others! Gail and Dave, Winnipeg, MB Canada
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Mary's bungalow. It was perfect, just as the pictures depicted and a comfortable relaxing lay out. We enjoyed our time in the bungalow and Mary and Ian were very gracious to us and helpful with giving us suggestions for restaurants and shopping, etc. The cottage was very charming and comfortable and even the yard was very relaxing, we felt we were in our very own private retreat. I hope to come back and visit again and look forward to our stay here at Mary's bungalow. We especially enjoyed Naomi! The kitchen was fully stocked and enjoyed the use of the grill as well. It was very clean and we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend this VRBO!
