About the property

Trip Advisor typically rates this resort above a number of Disney resorts. Our units are in the POA buildings, NOT the Westgate buildings. While I have availability, I must check with the resort to see if they are already booked for your dates.

Blue Tree Resort offers a location a few blocks away from Disney’s entrance on route 535 in Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, Florida. There are eateries and shops close by. The resort sprawls over a generous 16 acres of property which has 18 separate condominium buildings of various shapes and sizes – none more than 3 stories. Upgrades and maintenance on these buildings has been impressive over the past 10 years. The grounds are well kept. On the fenced-in property there are four outdoor pools, three of which are heated. There are also several BBQ grills, a volleyball court, basketball and tennis courts, two jacuzzis, a fitness center, a game room, a horseshoe pit, 3 elevators serving many of the two-bedroom executive units, fountains, play areas, a small miniature golf course, a small grocery/gift/attraction ticket space, a check-in area with computers/printer, a meeting room, and the office for the activity director. All units received new windows and the Property Owners Association completed the painting of the outside of their buildings. Units have granite counter tops in the kitchens (see photos), flat screen TVs and DVDs. Wi-Fi is available in all units free of charge. Many units have a washer and dryer, but for those which do not, there is a generous laundry on-site/indoors. I will do my best to get you into a unit which has washer and dryer, but the resort will not guarantee a unit location. The Blue Tree POA is in the final stages of putting in new sliding glass doors. They also redid Pool #2 with new pavers and interactive sprayers in the kiddie pool. They do continuous refurbishments of the units. A decorative fence has been recently added around the front perimeter of the property. All buildings have been re-roofed in the past several years with clay tiles. New stainless steel appliances have been placed in units. Upon entering the property, take your first right turn and go straight to the check-in building. Check-in time is at 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am. More check-in information will be provided on your confirmation, and I ask that you review the confirmation before you pay.

Much more information and pictures may be found at bluetreeowners.org.

Must be age 21 or older to have reservation in your name.

Reservations possible year-round unless the resort is already booked: the earlier you act, the more likely you are to get what you want. Multiple units may be available if you have a large group. No refunds.

Reservations always to be in 7-night intervals, and typically run from either Saturday to Saturday, or Sunday to Sunday. However, the resort may allow me to do otherwise during off-peak times: please ask. If multiple weeks are reserved, you will receive a separate confirmation for each 7-day period, and a cleaning with new linens and towels will be done after each 7-night period.

Reservations can be made no more than 12 months in advance.

Photos are typical, but exact unit may vary slightly.

Very easy to get to, close to the parks. Clean and comfortable beds.

The only cons, we were on the first floor and was woke up every morning with the people walking above us. ( Maybe they were just extra loud) and one night it rained and our rain gutters were gone and we heard dripping on metal electric boxes all night!! Otherwise was a very good place. Nice pools, played miniature golf with our granddaughter.

Owner's Response: Evyonne ... thank you for your comments. I am happy that you were mostly happy with the resort. I have discussed your comments with the resort. I had you set to be on the top (3rd) floor of building 12 where noise wouldn't be an issue. Because there is an elevator in building 12, walking the 2 flights of stairs is not an issue. I haven't been able to determine how you ended up on the first floor of building 4, but this will ensure that I advise future guests to insist they not be moved from the pre-assigned locations, and that they understand why. Thanks again, Dave

Just what we needed

  • 4 of 5

Planned a 7-day theme park extravaganza in Orlando and needed a home base for our vacation. Our needs were: 1) Convenient location to Disney and Universal 2) Comfortable beds 3) Kitchen for cooking meals 4) Clean and homey 5) Plenty of space for parents and children. All 5 of our needs were very well met at the Blue Tree resort. Staff was very friendly and helpful, facilities were great, pools were clean, and parking was easy. It's a 4 star resort with a 3 star price. Would not hesitate to rent at this resort again. Owner was also very responsive and helpful through the entire rental process. Excellent overall experience.

Wonderful Week

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week at the Blue Tree. We had never used HomeAway before, so we were a little nervous, but everything went flawlessly. The owner was very helpful, the staff at the Blue Tree were great and the property was just what we hoped it would be. The condo was perfect for our family of 5 and the facilities were clean and lovely. We enjoyed being away from the crowds and everyone we met staying at the Blue Tree were nice too. We often had the whole pool to ourselves in the evening after leaving the parks. We rented a car and driving to Disney each day was a breeze.

Great resort and excellent trip

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time. The resort is conveniently located in between Disney and universal. The condo was very clean and modern. There was a ton Of activities for the kids all week. I would recommend the resort to anyone who is looking at going to Disney area. We were a 3 minute drive to downtown Disney and we could hear and see some of the fireworks each night. wonderful vacation!
