331 Strawberry Park was featured in Luxe Magazine in 2007.
The family originally built this property in 1999 until selling it in 2010. The property recently came back on the market and we have now repurchased the home including all of our original furnishings.
Beth Prothro purchased this house in 2015
We were thrilled as we drove up and saw this amazing home. It was so clean and had many amenities to offer. Sylvia was so nice and provided us with so much information about the house. We will be back soon. Thank you Sylvia for everything.
I rented this house for myself and 9 other friends for my 40th and it was outstanding! The spaces and details are just as beautiful and high quality as they appear in the pictures, there was a lot to do, everything was in good condition and very clean and the staff was very responsive and available. I'd highly recommend it to others!!
In short, this home and the experience from start to finish was flawless. The only sad part of the trip was the departure! Our group of young adults had an adventure of a lifetime and there is literally something for everyone on site. We visited during January = great skiing for those of us who ski! About half of our group did not ski and still had a memorable weekend. I would come here every weekend if I could!
We cannot wait to return and if I could, I would give the house, the staff, and our overall experience 10 stars!!!
The Home: The pictures and description do not do it justice! The home is breathtaking - every detail is purposeful, elegant, classy yet very functional. The design and decor of the home is beyond anything I have experienced. The home genuinely felt like a warm hug and a toasty cup of hot chocolate. There are ample bedrooms for any large group, the elevator was a highlight for those staying on the top floor with a lot of luggage, the view is breathtaking and there is even a bowling alley for the non-skiers! My personal favorite = topping off a long day of skiing in the hot tub literally overlooking the ski run aptly named, "Homerun".
The Location: This is the BEST location in Beaver Creek. The ski-in and ski-out nature of the house is perfection. We were able to put on our gear and be on the mountain in no time! Some members of our party took advantage of the Beaver Creek shuttle service (I believe it is free or $3 charge - either way, totally worth it!!!) which would pick up and drop off from our front doorstep given the house is so close to the village. We ate dinner out a few nights and the house is a very short drive to many delicious restaurants in the heart of Beaver Creek.
The Staff: Top tier service. Again, I cannot reiterate the weekend of perfection we experienced at this home! Communicating with the team and staff was seamless, all our questions were answered and the staff was not only very knowledgeable about the house, but also the surrounding area as well.
In summary, stop reading and book this home; you will be blown away! My only regret is I did not have more time to take in every detail to the home. I hope to come back again in the summer months to take advantage of the beauty during other times of the year.
Our family had the opportunity to stay in this fabulous home and it exceeded our expectations! As amazing as the photos are that are featured on the web, they did not adequately capture the beauty of this home. The uniqueness of basic elements such as the great ceiling beams; all the interesting imported carved wooden doors; the individual features in the hand crafted fireplace mantel; the workmanship in the kitchen cabinets and casted drawer pulls; the extravagant drapery; and the beautiful antiques, paintings and bronzes were amazing . These details had to be experienced. Then, there was the theater with red leather reclining seats and matching blankets stocked with popcorn for the popper, the bowling alley, the hot tub, and the pool table/ping pong table which were such fun amenities to experience for our family ranging from grandparents to babies. The beautiful elevator with wrought iron accents was more extravagant than those in fine hotels. The very large en suite tiled bathrooms were grand with deep soaking tubs, large showers and heated flooring. The great antique chandeliers were such interesting treasures, I was endlessly curious to know their history. The walnut wooden antique wainscoting and carved crystal bowl sink in the guest bathroom were examples of the fine detail throughout the home. The fabric rosettes and drapery tassels featured in the quilted drapery in the breakfast room were characteristic of how particular even small details were beautifully finished. The floor to ceiling silk drapery and burnout velvet sheers in the master bedroom were fabulous. I could go on and on......
Having the opportunity to experience this spectacular home made our family ski trip the very best yet and we've been doing this for nearly 30 years. We found 331 Strawberry Park uncomparable in taste, decorative style, largesse and craftsmanship. This trip was about skiing so I should mention the ski in/out feature was easily accessible and enjoyed with a generous sized mud room full of cubbies, hanging rods, and a large boot warmer. However, on our next visit we may not even hit the slopes just bask in the glorious style of the home. We cannot wait to get back there. Divine!
Great experience from booking to check-in and deposit audit/return. Would recommend the house and team highly.
This home literally blew away all of our expectations!!! We did not want to leave. We hope to stay there again next year!!!
