The Sonnailles Dome - really at the foot of the Jardin des Neiges, car-free holidays at the foot of the slopes, of the ski lifts and of the skiing school. Return with to the apartment by sky guaranteed. All mod cons, ideal for families with children: 70 m² apartment. (41 m² and 1 accommodated balcony of 6.5 m² and 1 underground garage of 13 m² and 1 ski room of 4 m²). 1 living room furnished with typical Savoy decoration, a flat screen television (DTT) and its DVD player. 1 large terrace with a table from Savoy, (for your meals under the sun, during summer), 1 large mezzanine with panelling with its reading area, its bed of 140 and hosier, 1 bedroom (5.5 m²) with its wardrobe and its 2 trundle-beds, 1 sofa-bed of 140, 1 equipped kitchen (closets, dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, refrigerator, raclette set, Magimix Nespresso coffee machine & simple coffee machine), 1 bathroom, 1 separate WC, telephone with a free Wifi access. All windows have wooden shutters for better sleep.


In winter,

You can enjoy a beautiful terrace facing the mountain, at the Vanoise pass, not overlooked and really facing the Jardin des Neiges and the sledge slope for your grandsons.

In summer,

A typical Savoy table is at your disposal for sunny breakfasts as well as for meals. The terrace which opens on the living room is at your disposal for a complete rest under the sun so that you can completely 'recharge your batteries'.

The convenient side:

- An unlimited Wifi Internet access is provided for free (ask for the security code before leaving your house),

-Use the underground garage, mostly in winter.

Each French-window is equipped with shutters for a good sleep to rest after the joys of snow and the hikes in the mountain, during summer.

Depuis 10 ans, nous venons à Pralognan La Vanoise aussi bien en Eté qu'en Hiver.Cette année nous avons réservé au Dômes des Sonnailles, à La Ferme de Pralognan. Auparavant, nous avions réservé chez d'autres habitants, mais je dois dire, que le Dôme des Sonnailles est très bien aménagé et très bien équipé. RIEN NE MANQUE ! Ce qui n'est pas le cas d'autres locations dans lesquelles nous étions descendus auparavant. Quel bonheur de se ressourcer dans ce petit village resté authentique mais très diversifié en actIvités ! Des randonnées à gogo à la portée de tous, et le cadre montagnard est merveilleux.. Cette année, nous avons pu louer le Dôme des Sonnailles!! Une très belle location, à Pralognan, située dans un petit chalet, au pied des premiers chemins de randonnée, des pistes de ski, l'Hiver, de la piscine et de la patinoire. Le Dôme des Sonnailles est doté d'un garage et d'un parking collectif privé, à 2 pas du centre, et possède une très grande terrasse aménagée sans vis-à-vis, bien ensoleillée.

On s'y sent comme chez nous ! L'accueil, la propreté, le confort, coquet, le calme ...tout a été vraiment parfait ! Nous remercions le propriétaire qui fait tout pour que ses locataires soient charmés. C'est réussi !!!. Tellement satisfait que nous avons reloué le Dôme des Sonnailles pour l'an prochain.

Lovely accommodation, excellent host

We stayed in Marcel's apartment for 3 weeks(19 Dec 2014 -17 Jan 2015), with a week in between spent at another apartment as Marcel's property was not available for the full 1 month duration we required.

Other members of our family had stayed in Marcel's apartment the previous year, 2013.

The apartment is typical for the building within which it is situated & is well presented and appointed/equipped. We liked that Marcel provided towels, which other apartments do not. Travelling from Australia - we did not want to have to hire towels. It would be nice if linen was also included for the price of the rental, although I know and understand in France it is typical for the renter to hire the linen. This year Marcel installed a washing machine which was wonderful & much appreciated as being there for a month with children, it would have been difficult and costly to visit the laundrette regularly. It is to Marcel's credit that he took this recommendation from his client's & installed this. The apartment is on the 2nd floor, which would perhaps be tiring for older people and also the 2nd bedroom is up some steep wooden stairs to a mezzanine. Not a problem for our family, but perhaps for older people or young children.

The outlook to the mountains, village, main ski slope and kid's ski school slopes is beautiful. The apartment is easily situated for the village and amenities and generally we walked everywhere - ski slope, casino etc. The apartment has a garage space which we used and also a ski locker - which we did not use as we used the ski hire locker nearer the slope.

Marcel is an excellent host. He answered many questions for us that did not relate to our stay in the property, but to do with our holiday plans e.g. info on ski hire/discount, ski passes. He also went the extra mile in assisting the 1 week's accommodation that he could not provide himself in his apartment & also arrangements to store our luggage when we had to make an emergency trip to the UK during our stay. He called regularly to ensure that we were happy with everything during our stay. He also corresponded many times with us before & after our stay. These are the sorts of actions that will bring guests back. We felt looked after.

If I had any recommendations, they would be:

include bed linen in your rental rate & have the linen on the beds for arrival

a larger tv :)

more comfortable couch for watching the larger tv ha ha!

Our slogan: OUR CUSTOMERS MUST BE SATISFIED AND WE WORK IN THIS DIRECTION TO SATISFY THEM AT BEST FOR A PLEASANT STAY. We are enchanted that the DOME OF SONNAILLES pleased you ! All the decoration was rethought last Autumn, to obtain THE LABEL "3 KEYS HOLIDAYS" by CLEFVACANCES, (a french tourism organisation recognised by the French Government) and , in a purely Savoyard style, furniture and paintings being made by local craftsmen. These 3 labels were obtained 1 year ago! The flat, in front of the mountain, very well designed with its huge parental mezzanine, where a big stay-lounge gives onto a pleasant terrace in Summer to have breakfast there and its meals in this majestic frame without screw - in - in screw. This year, we bought a washing machine for the linen, in that case you do not need to visit the laundrette regularly, that is a cost ! All the more, as the baker is approximately to buy it his bread and his fresh croissants every morning. THE WINTER, at the foot of the garden of snows and sledging strip, in 50 m alpine ski runs and cross-country skiing, rackets (snowshoes), return ski in the insured feet. Furthermore, you are 2 steps of the Olympic Center for the snow boot: swimming pool, ice rink, tenpin bowling, music, hockey matches.. In the village, many playful animations for youngs and big, beautiful Savoyard shops for your presents... THE SUMMER, Pralognan La Vanoise, Pearl of the Alps, and the Park of Vanoise are to be discovered and to be rediscovered by traveling hiking trails to approach the fauna : ibexes, chamois and marmots, in mountain sites and admire the very varied flora. Many of our customers return there every year in various periods to participate in numerous holidays summer and winter alike in the good mood in which our old people participate: the holiday of the taste, the gastronomy of our mountains, the holiday of the high mountain pasture, the holiday of guides, the Festivals of music, etc.. THE DOME DES SONNAILLES is very appreciated by our customers-tenants, who return, for his Savoyard charm as well as its comfort there, in this unique and majestic frame. As expected we are waiting for you again for the winter next Christmas 2015 and Winter 2016.Looking forward to hear from you soon, Marcel

Nous reviendrons !

L’appartement, le Dôme des Sonnailles, à La Ferme de Pralognan est très bien situé, proche des commerces et des premiers chemins de randonnées. Il est situé face à la montagne, très éclairé, et Morgane nous a très bien accueilli.

Nous étions 4, mon amie, moi même et nos 2 filles, cet appartement correspond tout-à-fait à la description et est très proche des commerces.

Pratique, fonctionnel, très bien équipé, calme, très confortable, tout y est, tout est vraiment comme chez nous, en plus dans un vrai décor savoyard ! Wifi à volonté, gratuit pour les soirées, après la lecture des livres en bibliothèque !

Nous avons aussi apprécié la chambre pour nos filles, on y trouve de vrais lits, les enfants ne font pas les frais d'une économie d'espace dans l'appartement.

La terrasse est superbe, sans vis-à-vis, avec le paysage de montagne que nous nous étions en quelque sorte imaginés.

M. Laurin est vraiment très disponible, charmant et très efficace pendant toute la durée de notre séjour. Avant notre arrivée, nous avions obtenu beaucoup de renseignements sur sa location, le village, etc.. pas de mauvaise surprise donc.

C’est une très belle adresse que nous recommandons pour profiter de la nature et découvrir le parc de la Vanoise, avec sa flore généreuse, et sa faune ! Nos filles ont été émerveillés par les marmottes, les bouquetins…

De plus, c'est "vacances sans voitures" : il y a un garage gratuit et tout se fait à pied !

Pour être clair, je vous recommande vraiment ce logement, de notre côté c'est certain, nous reviendrons au Dôme des Sonnailles prochainement !

Très bel appartement !

Cet appartement est conforme à l'annonce : très bien entretenu, très fonctionnel, très chaleureux, très bien situé et je pourrai continuer longtemps à énumérer les qualités de cette location. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au mois d'août. Arrivés et accueillis par Morgane qui nous a présenté l'appartement, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous ... Tous les équipements annoncés sont bien présents. La literie est très bonne, la mezzanine pour les parents magnifique avec toujours cette décoration de style savoyard. Le réseau wifi est au rendez vous (merci de la part de notre ado ...) et les chaines TV également. Nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse car le beau temps était de la partie. Manger dehors et profiter d'un bon livre, que demander de plus ?

Les commerces, Restos, complexe de loisirs sont tout proche donc toute la semaine la voiture n'a pas bougée.

Nous recommandons cette location sans état d'âme et nous remercions Mr Laurin de sa présence et de son souci de bien faire et de rendre heureux ses vacanciers !!

Appartement chaleureux, vue magnifique !

Très bel appartement, chaleureux, décoration typique, vue magnifique ! On s'y sent bien ! Très bien placé.

Seul petit manque : un transat ou une chaise longue sur le balcon pour profiter de la vue (le banc est un peu raide ...)

Propriétaire très agréable, qui prend soin de ses locataires.

Station familiale chaleureuse, magnifiques paysages, superbes ballades même avec des enfants (4 et 7 ans).

On y reviendra avec plaisir !

Ceux-ci pourront juger : - de la qualité de notre prestation, appartement fonctionnel et pratique, "tout y est", une décoration typiquement savoyarde, - de notre accueil, - ainsi que de notre proximité étant proche de nos clients afin de les satisfaire pour leur plus grand bonheur au DÔME des SONNAILLES, à PRALOGNAN LA VANOISE ! Je vous y attends à nouveau avec plaisir l'année prochaine ! (NB) Les deux transats (vert pomme et gris clair) sont dans le placard de la chambre, c'est dommage que vous ne les ayez pas trouvés, les précédents locataires les ayant utilisés !

Une location qui donne envie d'y revenir

Superbe appartement dans un très beau chalet, extrêmement bien situé pour les commerces et les randonnées. Appartement avec tout le confort souhaité, le tout dans un décor savoyard. Il est rare d'avoir en location un appartement aussi richement équipé et si bien décoré. La vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique. Equipement multimédia parfait (TV, lecteur DVD/MP3/DIVX), Wifi de qualité. Le propriétaire est par ailleurs très disponible et nous a promulgué de multiples conseils, de même pour la personne qui nous a accueilli sur place à notre arrivée. 2 petites remarques : l'escalier dit "à pas décalés" mériterait d'être signalé dans le descriptif (pourrait poser problème pour certaines personnes), et l'éclairage insuffisant dans la chambre en mezzanine qui ne permet pas de lire dans cette espace (ce malgré les nombreuses lampes)

Il est vrai que le Dôme des Sonnailles, est un très bel appartement, bien équipé, fonctionnel, pratique et la décoration du « pur savoyard », les meubles fabriqués par des artisans locaux, et la décoration, dénichée dans les brocantes de la région. C’est bien la première fois que l’on me fait ce genre de remarques en 10 ans de locations saisonnières. Il n’y a aucun problème pour monter dans cette belle mezzanine, il suffit de comprendre le fonctionnement de l’escalier. Début juin, il y avait des australiens âgés et tout s’est très bien passé ! Pour l’éclairage, lorsque je j’y suis, et mes autres locataires également, il n'y a eu aucun problème de lecture ! Mais je prends note de ces réflexions, et je vais réfléchir comment améliorer les choses !

Qu’elle est belle, la France! And our ten days in Pralognan have proved that all over again. Spectacular setting, splendid wildflowers and great walks.

The Dome des Sonnailes was an excellent choice of accommodation. Well situated, a quiet place with great views and convenient for shopping.

The apartment is very well equipped, with excellent WiFI connection, effective heating, and, rarest of all, truly comfortable beds!

You were able to use our terrace with its big savoyard table fitted out well for your meals and breakfasts and to benefit from beautiful sunny days. Effectively, through our typically Savoyard decoration furniture of which was created by local artisans, you discovered our worship for the beauty of places, in the discovery of the Park of Vanoise with beautiful rides, that we suggested to you to discover in the course of the ascents, the ibexes, chamois and marmots, as well as the flora of high mountain. Our very appropriate apartment, very well equipped and functional, was carefully decorated so that you can get fresh ideas during your holidays. You liked her huge mezzanine very comfortable. Your appreciation will be useful for our next tenants, to decide on their next destination of holidays’s Summer as Winter. Indeed, we are very worried about the reception and about the comfort of our tenants, it is essential, and it is one of the reasons for which, our French and foreign tenants return there! The “Dome of Sonnailles”, is very close to the Olympic centre the new swimming pool of which has just opened last year. It is the exceptional position, The Summer, close to first roads of rides, you can benefit from enjoyments of the ice rink, from the curling and from its centre of relaxation with its hamman, Jacuzzi, etc., the Winter, you are at feet of tracks, return skis in feet insured in front of the chalet. … To us, it is also, " holidays without cars ", offered garage, “wifi” and unlimited telephone! I say to you goodbye, and see you in next summer, in the “Dome of Sonnailles”.

The skiing domain of Pralognan spreads from 2350 to 1 400 m of altitude. Because of its proximity from the glaciers of La Vanoise, it has a quality snow cover. In addition, the artificial snowing is operated by more than 70 snow canons, from 2350 m to the resort.

Pralognan la Vanoise is also the fourth most important site for cross-country skiing in Savoy. 26 km of slopes are marked in the forest and on the Pralognan plain. They are twined, in their major part, with winter pedestrian paths, accessible with snowshoes.

  • In the apartment we have: - 1 panelled parental bedroom-mezzanine that gives to it a lot of charm. This bedroom is decorated with a nice hosier made by a local craftsman. The bed is 140 x190 large. The hosier is at your disposal for your personal storage. You have a splendid view of the Mont Bochor. You will find there a reading area dedicated to rest. A second bedroom with 2 beds of 90 x 190, with a skylight. This bedroom is decorated with animal watercolours for the children's happiness. A large wardrobe is at your disposal - You will chest of drawers. All our beds are equipped with polar blankets. Our pillow cases, bolsters and our mattresses are equipped with cotton under sheets, the whole covered with paper under sheets at each renter's change. For your pleasure, each bedroom is equipped with nice Savoy bedside lamps.
