Welcome to our holiday home La Peruela.

So called as it is right on the boarder of the Periana and Vinuela provinces. Positioned on a rocky promontory it is the last house on a no through track and has fabulous 360 degree views of fields, olive groves, valleys, lakes and the Sierra Nevaha mountains beyond. This really is a very special place and ideal for those who want to get away from the standard without stepping right off the edge. Surrounded by rocks and trees it’s a mecca for birds and there’s nothing like sitting on the roof terrace in the evening watching hundreds of birds swooping around you.

With over 300 degrees of uninterrupted views you get the feeling of being in the sticks while still having the security of several English speaking neighbours behind you.

4 Double Bedrooms.

Each floor has it’s own Master with Ensuite and kingsize bed and a second twin bedroom, ideal for children or another couple if you put the beds together

3 Bathrooms

2 Ensuite and one family bathroom with bath.

Large first floor Dining Room with a solid wood table for 8 and a terrace of to the front and back

Modern Kitchen, also on the first floor with Halogen Hob, Fan assisted oven and grill, washing machine, microwave and combi oven, double sink and marble work tops.

Very large ground floor living room with horse shoe seating for at least 10 people around a large smart television and wood burning stove. The other end of the room can be left open or you can unfold a full size table tennis table or 6ft pool / snooker table for hours of entertainment.

Private Pool Area with a 7.5m by 4.5m above ground pool which is great for a cooling dip and even a bit of a swim. Being 1.3 metres deep it’s also more child friendly that normal sunken pools as it’s very hard for a young child to climb in, especially if you remove the ladder. The end of the pool looks over the fields towards the mountains and it’s a wonderful place to relax.

4 x terraces

Large roof terrace with 360 degree views, perfect for a sun downer and a wonderful place to do yoga or just soak up the sun.

Extremely Large (16m +) Rear Roof Terrace which makes a great safe play area for children to play close to the house and an alternative place to put a dining table should you not fancy the front dining terrace.

About Tobyn

We're a family of 4 and work in the Glamping Industry. I sell wonderful Bell Tents through Bell Tent UK and also run a large Bell Tent rental company called Hotel Bell Tent which means we get to go to loads music festivals and do loads of classy camping. We live in SW London and have just taken over my parents holiday home in the countryside of Southern Spain. As we're flat out with work throughout the summer and can only go to the house on half terms and Easter and Christmas holidays we have decided to let other people enjoy our house when we're not there.

Why Tobyn chose Viñuela

Location, Location, Location.

La Peruela is in a wonderful spot and being the last house down a no through track you feel like your on the edge of civilisation without stepping off.

You have wonderful uninterrupted views that include everything from olive groves to rolling fields, Lake Vinuela and the mountains beyond.

The house itself is very spacious with 4 proper double bedrooms, a very substantial first floor dining room with modern kitchen off it and an even larger living room with large TV and U shaped seating and the option of snooker / pool or table tennis.

What makes this villa unique

The house was built around a decade ago and was originally designed as two flats before it was knocked through into a two story house. The upshot of this is lots of space, two bedrooms on each floor (making it perfect for two families to share) and four terraces meaning you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to sitting out.

The house has sat empty for the last seven years and has now been totally redecorated and updated so it’s clean and fresh with loads of quality imported furniture so it really feels like a home from home.

The last house down a 2km track off an A road you get the best of both worlds with the feeling of countryside while still having the security of having English speaking neighbours behind you. Your nearest village is Los Romanos which has a general store, outdoor bar in the square and a couple of good restaurants. Vinuela is a 10 min drive away and have a selection of shops (some English and not our cup of tea) and a good local bakery. A 18 minute drive south and you are at Velez-Malaga and the coast motorway. Velez-Malaga is a proper town with a selection of supermarkets and even a Eroski Hypermarket which covers everything. 5 more minutes drive and you're on the beach at Torre Del Mar.

Getting Around

La Peruela is in the sticks and you really need your own transport to make staying there viable. It's 2km from a A road and once you're on that you can get a long way fast on Spain's wonderful roads (thank you European Union..)

If you enjoy "driving" its a great area to explore just for the driving experience.

Malaga Airport is 40 mins away, Granada 1 hour 20 mins and the sea is just over 20 mins away.

Car hire in Spain is among the cheapest in Europe. (from 4 euros a day from Malaga Airport)

If you arrive during shipping hours we recommend you drive along the coast Motorway, do a big shop at the Eroski in Velez-Malaga and then head up to the house stocked up.
