"A BEAUTIFUL AND SUPERBLY EQUIPPED CHALET IN A LOCATION OF GREAT NATURAL SCENIC BEAUTY"
We arrived in Chamonix having never been before. Because we arrived late in the evening, the chalet was lit up and warm for our arrival, both the owners Richard & Sarah as well as Chris and Fraser from their management company (Apex) were hugely attentive in making sure that we got there and got access OK. Together they couldn't have been more helpful. The chalet is soooo comfortable and very very well equipped. We were self catering and we enjoy cooking, there wasn't a utensil, electric kitchen device or item that we couldn't find...it was just grand. The chalet is handy for all the ski options in Chamonix and after a full on day in the hills, a sauna, shower and outdoor hot tub are all that you need to unwind and find yourself in a very happy place. Chris and Fraser from Apex were on hand for any local issues and or questions and at check out we were introduced to the cleaning team who were just lovely too!...we are sad its all over for us, but its now a fond and cherished memory. A brilliant 6* experience from start to finish.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very impressed by the extra care and special touches Sarah and Richard provided. The chalet was very well equipped, very comfortable and we couldn't have asked for more. We look forward to returning to this beautiful area and beautiful chalet.
The chalet was welcoming and luxurious with real attention to detail. We had everything that we needed and we couldn't take our eyes off the views sitting out on the huge balcony. The skiing in Chamonix was still great despite being later in the season and it was easy to get to the various ski areas from the chalet, we used a mix of public transport and our cars. The chalet has a lovely big garden and deck and it was great to have lots of outside space, especially with the lovely spring weather.
We really enjoyed the facilities, particularly the Jacuzzi and the Sauna which was great after a days skiing and we all really relaxed, the log stove in the lounge made it feel really cosy.
What an amazing chalet. It's 5 star in every way and the views are stunning. The owners Sarah and Richard go out their way to ensure that your stay is perfect. I have already recommended this chalet to family and friends and we will definately be booking again.
What an amazing week we have just had. The chalet is 5 star from the stunning views to the beautiful interior. The chalet is quality in every way. The local transport is very handy and close by. The owners Sarah and Richard make sure every query is answered and go out their way to make sure your holiday is perfect.
We don't normally go back to the same place twice no matter how good since it's a big wide world out there but my family are already insisting we go back in the next few years.
The Chamonix Valley is a mecca for winter and summer outdoor pursuits: mountaineering, hiking, climbing, biking, paragliding, plus fabulous skiing and all the winter activities!
There are plenty of restaurants and bars in Chamonix and Les Houches, perfect for apres ski or indeed any time of the day eating and drinking. There are a wide selection of shops in Chamonix to suit all tastes and budgets from Chanel to supermarkets and the weekly Saturday morning market is great for picking up local produce.
A sports centre, swimming pool, tennis courts, cinema screening English and French films and a golf course all complement the local amenities in the Chamonix Valley.
Chamonix is situated close to the Mont Blanc tunnel and the Italian border. Spectacular mountain scenery, majestic ice falls and glaciers, one of Europe's highest cable cars and a ski season into May, all mean that Chamonix is hard to beat.
Other Activities: Rock Climbing
Ski: The Chamonix Valley has some of the best skiing in the world & hosts the famous Kandahar Mens's Alpine World Cup race.
There are 6 main ski areas in the Chamonix valley & they vary greatly from challenging off piste, to the valley blanche a legendary run of 22kms, to the famous Kandahar run in Les Houches.
Les Houches is great for intermediates (& also beginners) & is one of the best places to ski when the weather is bad. The Brevent ski area & Aiguille du Midi lift (for Valley Blanche) are both in Chamonix, which is a 5 minutes drive away. The other areas; Les Grands Montets in Argentiere, La Flegere in Le Praz and the Le Balme area in Le Tour are in different parts of the valley but are easy to get to from the Chalet. Courmayeur in Italy, is also another alternative as the Mont Blanc Unlimited ski pass covers the Courmayeur ski area
