The 2900 square foot cabin was constructed in 2004 and is located in south-eastern Indiana, less than one hour west of Cincinnati or one hour east of Indianapolis in the Metamora/Brookville area. Conveniently located only 10 minutes from Brookville State Park and 5 minutes from the quaint historical town of Metamora, this secluded getaway welcomes you and your guests. Some of our recent visitors tell us that that the Grand Arbor feels like mountain chalet due to it’s spacious interior.
With large glass windows overlooking a mature woods and creek, the Grand Arbor is nestled in a valley with a southern exposure. Surrounding hiking trails and a multitude of fun outdoor activities are bountiful. Due to its picturesque and convenient location, the Grand Arbor truly is an ideal place for weekend getaways, vacations, family reunions, wedding receptions, Bachelor/Bachelorette parties, fishing trips, golf trips and even corporate retreats. There is a game room in the rec room at the ground level which now features a full size regulation pool table. This is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike.
The outdoor Caldera jacuzzi is popular with guests. This is a great way to relax in the warmth of soothing waters outside and enjoy the natural scenery that surrounds the home.

I enjoy hiking and the outdoors. Prior to owning a log cabin home, I always enjoyed renting log cabins myself. It's a great way to escape the day to day routine of the city/suburban life.
Brookville Cabin Rentals purchased this cabin in 2004
This place is a fantastic getaway location as it is secluded. You won't find other homes or vehicles anywhere near the place. You have complete privacy to enjoy the outdoors with the comforts of home nearby.
One of the best things about this property was the variety of activities afforded us. They had trails, volleyball court and balls, outdoor fire ring, hot tub, cornhole, ping pong, indoor basketball, Tv, plenty of rooms. Internet was weak and water comes from a cistern and may need to be refilled. However, when we needed anything they were available to meet our needs. Firewood is not provided. Good place to rent ! It is as beautiful as the pictures.
Our family loves The Grand Arbor. This was our fourth annual stay & each year quality (surprise) improvements have been added. Wonderful secluded woodland area, offering hiking, volleyball & our favorite fire pit. Our adult grandchildren are already requesting a return visit in 2017. We enjoy telling our friends about this lovely home.
The cabin and location was very nice and as described and we had plenty of room. It would have been nice to have had an overview of the entire property so we could do some hiking/exploring. The hot tub was not working properly. It would not heat above 93 deg. They did send someone out who reset it but the problem was never resolved. This was one of the reasons that we chose this cabin for our girls get away. There were a few cleaning issues (mold in the coffee maker as a filter and grounds had been left in it, used wash clothes were still hanging on the shower in one of the bathrooms, and a very bad smell in the dishwasher which was possibly a dead mouse). The binder containing appliance instructions, local restruant and activity information needs to be updated. The cabin has a phone but the number listed on the welcome packet is a disconnected number. As we had limited phone service we had given this to other family members as a number to call in case of emergencies at home. This needs to be updated. Overall everyone in my group had a good time and enjoyed their stay but better reference information, maintenance, and housekeeping would have eliminated/prevented problems that we encountered during our stay.
The upgrades to the house are terrific. We've been there for many years now. It's clean, comfortable, spacious and private, which we love. New game room addition a hit. Upgrade of wifi is helpful for email, but the cabin is remote and reception for Netflix etc. is really spotty. The management is terrific and great communicators. So bring your DVDs and enjoy. You won't regret it !
A couple of friends and I decided we wanted a little trip to start off the summer and beautiful weather! We're all from Chicago so it was a 4hour drive down. The house is absolutely beautiful and very clean! Definitely had more than enough room to sleep all 15 of us! The wifi was very slow and pretty much didn't work, but none of really minded since it forced us to talk and enjoy our surroundings. I do have to say that the kitchen suppliences should be updated because the dish washer gave off a burnt plastic smell and the stove had low flames and oven wasn't working by the end of the trip. Also a washer and dryer should be added so we can wash our clothes etc. Besides that trip was great! The owner left ice shot glasses and a bag of ice in the refrigerator which was a nice touch! We also went horse back riding a couple times a mile away from the cabin which was great and I highly recommend! My friends and I had a fantastic time/experience! I recommend this cabin and we'd definitely come back!!!!!
We had a group of 16 people stay at the cabin and all 16 loved it! We had plenty of room for all of us, very comfortable, the living room/kitchen area is incredible. An awesome deck, great views....the outdoor fire pit, next to the creek was a favorite spot for our group at night as we enjoyed sitting around the fire, gazing at all the stars in the sky we could see and you will see a lot....it seems as if you are so isolated, deep in the woods, very, very quiet.....the hot tub and rec room (ping pong, indoor shuffleboard, cornhole, indoor hoops) were also big hits! If we go back in the summer, the volleyball area will also be well utilized. If you have kids, I can't imagine them being bored here....plenty of things to do and they supply numerous board games for kids and adults alike. Its only a few minutes away from Brookville Reservoir so most of our group got some great hikes over there, others enjoyed "shopping hikes" in Metamora and Oldenburg. All in all our group gives it a big thumbs up and we will definitely stay there again. The cabin is well furnished with just about everything you will need....the couches in the living room are so comfortable, you may not want to get up and take advantage of everything else they have to offer. Rent it...you wont regret it.
