About this property

Welcome to the peace and tranquillity of the rustic charm of La Vieille Ferme country river side Gite.
The Gite has 2 floors, 3 Bedrooms and sleeps 7. The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and a large kitchen table and 8 chairs. A sitting room with a log burner and French TV. Bedroom one is on the ground floor with a double bed (137cm x 190cm), dressing table, chest of draws and a vanity sink. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom with a bath and shower attachment and vanity sink and a separate toilet.
On the first floor you have bedroom 2 which has 3 single beds (90cm x 190xm), with a wardrobe, set of draws and vanity sink. Bedroom 3 has a double bed (137cm x 190cm), a wardrobe, set of draws, dressing table and a seating area by the Juliet Balcony. Also in this room you have an en-suite with a cubicle shower, sink and toilet.
A cot and high chair are provided.
This is one of only 2 Gites on site, we also have Fleurs de Glycine that sleeps 4 people, so if you need accommodation for 11 people you could book both Gites.

Très bon accueil, une maison très agréable.

L’information est complète, la gérante est très bienveillante, la maison est bien équipée. Nous sommes passé deux semaines très reposantes et agréables.

De belles vacances au bord de l'eau!

Superbe maison de vacances au bord de la Creuse... grande rivière qui coule paisiblement au bas du jardin... un jardin magnifique, fleuri, ombragé, se terminant au bord de l'eau, avec des tables de pique nique... une maison très propre, bien aménagée, avec tout le confort nécessaire... au grand calme.... des hôtes agréables qui font tout pour que le séjour soit réussi !

Idéal pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez John & Dawn. Le gite est très fonctionnel, bien équipé et "cosy". Hôtes accueillants et discrets. Bien situé pour visiter le Futuroscope.

Très beau gîte, couchages pour 7 personnes avec beaucoup d'espace de rangement! Petit hic pour les sanitaires…… il ne faut pas être grand et costaud! Le fait que tout est compris (serviettes, draps….) est un joli plus pour venir de loin sans notre maison sur le dos! L'intérieur de la maison des propriétaires mérite un coup d'œil! A recommander pour une semaine de tranquillité proche des châteaux de la Loire et des plaisirs fluviaux. Merci à M. et mme Cater pour ce séjour. See you soon !

An unforggettable stay / un séjour inoubliable

We had a wonderful time in Saint-Rémy : the cottage was really lovely, comfortable, cosy, perfect for the 7 people we were. And the owners were absolutely adorable. We will preciously keep this address for the future. Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment à St Rémy : le logement était vraiment très beau, confortable et cosy, parfait pour 7 personnes. Et les propriétaires ont été absolument adorables. Nous gardons précieusement cette adresse pour un prochain séjour.

We moved here in 2014 from Berkshire in England to run our Gite business, we have 3 grown up children who live in the UK, who love coming to visit now and again. We are here on site along with Dawn's father.

Why they chose this property

The property is in the lovely peaceful village of St.Remy sur Creuse, the house and the Gites have lots of original features and character but have been modernised to give you all the home comforts you will be used to. We fell in love with the river at the end of our garden which is ideal for fishing, picnics or just relaxing.

What makes this property unique

The river at the end of our garden which is ideal for fishing, picnics or just relaxing, also the unique situation of the property being in a lovely traditional country village but with towns, shops, bars, restaurants, banks etc within a short distanced drive. An ideal mix of rural countryside with access to all the amenities you could need.
