Wonderful flat in a lovely town
Elegant and comfortable apartment with a wonderful garden terrace with views over the town to the Dart estuary. We really enjoyed our stay and ate most nights on the terrace. It occupies a quiet location but is very central with easy access to buses, ferries and all the river and coastal walks. We are very much looking forward to our next stay.
Spotlessly clean, garage parking a bonus
A lovely, comfortable property that was well positioned for the centre of Dartmouth
Excellent accomodation for two
Many thanks to Angela and Chris. The property has everything you need, is very quiet and perfectly located for a five minute stroll into Dartmouth, where you can enjoy many quality restaurants and pubs.
The property benefits from a garage near to the house which is essential in Dartmouth as there is very little off road parking. The furnishings are excellent and has the feel of being recently decorated as there is not a mark anywhere.
Angela and Chris are perfect hosts and were there to meet us on check in and check out.
Stay here and you won't be disappointed.
The famous blue flag beach - Blackpool Sands is only 15 mins drive away with a super cafe/restaurant. Slapton Sands offering a 3 mile stretch of pebble beach is a further 5 mins away whilst Dartmouth itself boasts two small coves (Castle Cove & Sugary Cove) close to the Castle within a 15 min walk. Bigbury on Sea beach is a sandy beach within an area of outstanding natural beauty just over 30 mins drive.
Totnes is the nearest railway station which is approx 12 miles from Dartmouth. There is a good hourly bus service to Dartmouth from Totnes. Exeter is the nearest airport (1 hour) but it is a good idea to have a car to enjoy the many wonderful places in the surrounding area.
Within a few minutes walk you can catch either the higher or lower ferry from the Embankment over to Kingswear (5 min ferry ride) & the famous Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway. There are also ferry's to Dartmouth Castle, the pretty village of Dittisham, 'Greenways' the home of Agatha Christie and a variety of other trips up the Dart Estuary. There are many beautiful villages within a 20 mile radius and numerous stunning walks in the area.
M&S food, Co-op and cashpoints on the doorstep. Tourist information centre, museum and cinema in town centre. Larger Sainsburys supermarket located on the edge of town, 5 mins drive.
