A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

Our week at Quayside Cottage was perfect, including the weather. The cottage is extremely well furnished and fitted out and we made good use of the nearby pub, The Maybush. Would definitely come back. Our host was very attentive and helpful, altogether a wonderful time.

Without doubt the best equipped bolt hole we’ve ever stayed in.

  • 5 of 5

Cozy, easy parking and a great shower! The view was lovely and a visit in a different season is a ‘must’. The pub nearby was a non-driving bonus as was the kingfisher.

Our hosts could not have been kinder and the garden was as cozy as the house. There are a good few visitors’ information brochures in the property and Ged can advise which walks are readily accessed. Good golf is available st Felixstowe Ferry and if you don’t like links then Ipswich Purdis Heath is possibly even closer. Woodbridge is a pleasant visit but after an absence of 10 years we rediscovered Snape Maltings - wonderful for the humble grocery shopper.

The nearby Maybush and it’s sister the Fox are both excellent, and the Malbec is a particular favourite!

We’ll be back to further sample the hospitality, under floor bathroom heating, the books, the choccies and vino!

A beautiful hideaway with wonderful views of the river

  • 4 of 5

The cottage had the best situation of any we had stayed at with superb river views. The closeness of the Maybush Inn was very convenient for eating. The cottage was well-equipped and we had everything we needed. The weather was unusually cold for early September so we could not sit outside very much which was disappointing
