Small, conveniently-located apartment
Smaller than we expected, too tight for the four adult people we had staying there. Two adults and one or two kids may have been better. A bit too noisy - not so much street noise (though there was some of that) but the various noises in and near the apartment - toilets, other people moving about - made it difficult to sleep. Also there was a strong smell of cleaning agent that was apparently attempting to cover up a smoking smell which was rather unpleasant.
Place was clean and the location was great. Just what we needed for our stay in Dublin.
Location was so easy to walk to everything.
Good location but apartment was not great.
Had to go to a gas station to pick up keys that was more than 3 blocks away. Third floor walk up with luggage not fun. Very small bedrooms- no electric outlets in bathroom or accessible in bedrooms. A bit run down. Would not stay here again--
Thanks for your feedback Denis. On the points you mentioned, the key collection point we use is the closest one to the apartment that allows us to cater for 24-hour check-ins for our guests. We offer this service because a lot of our guests arrive late at night or very early in the morning. This facility allows us to work with our guests and accommodate early/late check-ins as often as possible. As for the electrical outlets, in Ireland, it is actually illegal for any builder or electrician to instal any electrical outlets in a bathroom unless it is a charging point for an electrical shaver, this is why you couldn't find any in the bathroom. I'm sure you understand that water, steam and electricity do not mix well.
Cozy but our familyoffour was comfortable.
The location is superb. Just sitting by the windows and gazing on the Liffey was great. However, the singing on Essex St. does go late (4 am) and my noise-canceling headphones came in handy.
great location in Temple Bar!
Stayed here for the 2 nights we were in Dublin. The location was perfect for exploring Temple Bar! We did not spend much time in the apartment, so it was fine for laying our heads and showering. The apartment was very clean, but showing some signs of wear. There is no TV or radio (may have said so in the listing, not sure) so when others in our group went to their rental to regroup, we stayed out because there was nothing to do in the apartment. We had a hard time figuring out the shower. Stepping out of the tub is a big step, I would suggest leaving a terry tub mat for the tile floor as when wet, it is slippery and someone could easily fall getting out of the tub. Also only 1 partial roll of toilet paper was provided and we ran out (4 guests) and had to get more.
Again, perfectly located and clean and fit the bill for our needs, but wouldn't have wanted to stay for any longer of a time.
Hi Joanne, thank you for your review. As we do mention in the advertisement there is no TV in the apartment. In relation to the bathroom, we are having a brand new bathroom installed later this month and taking out the bath and replacing it with a hower. I will also speak with the cleaning staff about only 1 roll of toilet paper being left out.
Nice apartment in a great central location.
Was in dublin for a couple of days with friends. None of us had ever been to Ireland. We love the apartment and felt that we got a sense of how it would be to live in Dublin. Love Dollard & Co. Great place for food and coffee.
The location of this property cannot be beaten. The property lies right on the river in the heart of Temple bar. Walk out the front door and you have everything you need right on your doorstep. All of the local tourist attractions, bars, restaurants, cafes are all right there at your fingertips. You could not ask for a better location to base yourself in while you explore everything that Dublin has to offer.
