The spa area is complete with sauna, jacuzzi spa bath and rain shower with a range of body spray side jets. The chalet is elegantly constructed and fitted in a traditional old-wood style and has been decorated with an Italian twist to give a modern mountain feel. Designed with families or couples in mind, the large open living / dining area is focused around an decorative fireplace and plenty of comfortable sofas from which to admire the stunning view from the huge sliding glass doors and windows. Bedrooms & Bathrooms

There are four bedrooms and four bathrooms in the chalet along with a guest WC.

The Master Bedroom and Second Bedroom are set high up in the chalet, with one-and-a-half height ceilings open to the beams and entirely constructed in traditional old wood, including the spacious built-in wardrobes. The entire front walls of the two bedrooms are windowed, so you feel totally immersed in the beauty of the surrounding mountain landscape and its incredible views to the distant peaks. Guests staying downstairs will not be disappointed, as the two double bedrooms on the lower floor also benefit from traditional old wood interior and large sliding glass doors that lead to the terrace. One of these two rooms also has an decorative fireplace for romantic nights in comfort and privacy.

Each of the four bathrooms has its own unique style. The master bathroom has twin his'n'hers sinks and heated towel rail, and has both bath and separate rain shower, featuring Italian mosaic tiling. The second upstairs bathroom also has a rain shower with its own Italian mosaic styling, and a separate bathtub set under the wooden roof beams. The third bathroom has a rain shower with mosaic tiling and heated towel rail. The spa area of the fourth bathroom is accessible to everyone in the chalet and is complete with sauna, jacuzzi spa bath and rain shower with a range of body spray side jets.

Equipment

The open kitchen area has all that you would need to cook for large groups during your stay, including double fridge-freezer, large induction hob and oven. There is a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, Espresso and filter coffee-machine, plus fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of he log fire. An iron and hairdryer are available, and there is a portable barbecue for outdoor use.

Relaxing

The combination of spa facilities, comfort and quality make it very hard not to relax during your stay in this idyllic mountain setting. There is a TV projector with a 2-metre screen in the lounge, hooked up to Cable TV with over 150 channels, and an XBox. The chalet has a dominating, elevated position above the village, so benefits from a stunning view across the nearby valley to the distant mountain peaks beyond. Sitting comfortably on the balcony, you can watch the telecabins steadily gliding past with their charge of hikers or mountain-bikers, or contemplate the tiny cars as they crawl across the Rhone valley floor several kilometers distant. In summer, the garden area provides you with the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of this calm location and listen to the birdsong coming from the nearby wooded area.

Internet

Chalet Refinetti is equipped with free, high-speed WIFI for your own private use.

Pets

We’re sorry but Chalet Refinetti is a pet-free property. Please browse our selection of pet-friendly chalets if you would like to travel with your pet.

Parking

In summer, there is parking for two cars 60m from the chalet. Contact us for railway or airport transfers.

Winter

Unfortunately the chalet is not available to rent during the winter, as the owner and their family love to stay in their beautiful chalet and they are really keen skiers!

Summer

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. The “Bisses” are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We’ll provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier.

In the peak summer season from early July to late August, the telecabin link to Verbier operates daily from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. Don’t miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.

About Anna

We are Percy and Anna Kirkman, and we live in La Tzoumaz all year round, love outdoor sports, and are passionate about the beauty and opportunities of the region. We are fluent in both English and French. Originally from England, we both followed international careers within Procter & Gamble before making a life-changing move to the mountains at the end of 2013. We believe we are the most customer-focused professional holiday rental agency here in the resort, and we work hard year-round to find ways to improve our services to you as holidaymakers.

What makes this chalet unique

We believe the region of La Tzoumaz is magical. It has access to some of the best skiing in Europe, hundreds of kilometres of majestic hiking, fantastic mountain bike trails, wonderful family footpaths, and is a delight to live in all year round. We want to help other people to enjoy La Tzoumaz all year round, both now and into the future.

Verbier's 4 Valleys

The versatile resort of La Tzoumaz is nestled just over the back of Verbier’s Mount Savoleyres with access to all of the famous Verbier 4-Valleys slopes and off-piste areas in winter. In summer, the mountains become a paradisaical network of hiking trails and mountain-bike routes, with something for every taste. From La Tzoumaz you can ride the same legendary pistes and powder bowls, but accommodation prices are only a fraction of those in Verbier itself! Every property is prepared to high standards and each has a stunning panoramic view of the mountains and valley. The resort is only 1h45 from Geneva Airport, and transfers can be arranged on request. We live in the resort year-round and are on hand to welcome you on your arrival and to help you with anything you might need to know or arrange, whether before, during or after your stay. If we’re not in the office, we’ll gladly take your call even if we’re out enjoying the biking, hiking or skiing for ourselves…
