About Barbara Klammer

I am a personal trainer and I live in north Hampshire.

Barbara Klammer purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Barbara Klammer chose Mousehole

I grew up in Hampshire but spent childhood holidays in Cornwall. So when I went to Mousehole in see the famous Christmas lights, I fell in love with this beautiful village. Then viewing Gull's Nest I knew I had to own this homely, cosy cottage.

What makes this cottage unique

This fisherman's cottage is like a tardis at first it seems small but the renovation has been so well done everything has its place and you want for anything. I loved the private garden to enjoy from breakfast through to a sundowner. Perfectly situated so close to the harbour and the local amenities.

Great cottage in the middle of Mousehole

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is small as we expected , but doesn't feel cramped, is beautifully finished and has a real quality feel. We were all very comfortable and our daughter loved the pirates bed. Being able to take the dog was a real plus, and she enjoyed her holiday too. Collecting key and administration was all very smooth and Barbara was very helpful during the booking process. We all had a great stay and are already thinking of our return visit.

Lovely week in a cosy cottage in a bustling little village

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely week staying here, with perfect weather! The cottage is really well equipped and definitely big enough for the 3 of us. The double bed was a bit too soft for us but our son slept well in his single. Parking was a bit of a (expensive!) pain some days - the harbour car park is just £3 a day but fills up quickly so a few times we had to stump up £9 a day for the one near the Coastguard hotel. Lots of galleries, gift shops and cafes in Mousehole, but for more than a pint of milk from the post office you'll need to head to Penzance. Recommend the Ship Inn for evening food although it's first come first served on the tables so get in early! So much to see and do nearby: we particularly enjoyed St Michael's Mount and the Eden project ☺ All in all, a lovely peaceful week and we came away feeling relaxed and recharged!

Beautiful cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, plus our little pug had an amazing 4 days staying in Gull's Nest for my husbands birthday, the cottage is beautiful, cozy and has absolutely everything you would need! The log burner was a real treat in the evenings and the under floor heating was a delight when coming down in the mornings. Barbara was very helpful and recommended some lovely dog friendly beaches and a really nice restaurant (2 Fore Street) just down the road from the cottage, which we enjoyed on our first night! The scones, cream & jam was a lovely treat on arrival especially after a 4 hour drive. I hope one day we will return to Gull's Nest.
