Great home to stay ! Loved it the minute we walked in and looked around. The personal "check in" is very nice thanks so much for meeting us Diane- so much nicer than trying to figure out everything. Everything was clean and ready for us, even had flowers. Our small dog enjoyed the yard and we had every thing needed for a small family dinner party and everyone was comfortable. Seemed like a nice, comfortable, quiet neighborhood with beautiful homes. We hope to be able to come back soon.

Just a perfect place! Thanks for being so accommodating!!!!

  • 5 of 5

First the owners were wonderful. We had to leave quickly due to Hurricane Matthew and were looking for a home to stay in as we had our pets with us. (A hamster and dog) plus we have a child in a wheelchair. They worked with us quickly to get us set up so we could get in fast. They even let us come early as we were ordered to evacuate. When we got there you couldn't have asked for a more pleasant place. The area is very pretty, lovely oak trees through out this neighborhood, a gorgeous chain of lakes surrounds this neighborhood. It made for nice walks. This is a place you can truly relax. The house was very lovely and super clean. They have a back fenced yard for your pets which came in handy. My family was very happy and enjoyed our stay. Truly wish it had been a vacation and not a evacuation. We will definitely return under better circumstances. Floral City and Inverness are wonderful towns to just sit back and relax. You will not go wrong in staying here. Everything is well though out.

Loved it!

We were very happy with house. It was nicely updated and felt like a new house, I especially liked the floors. Very clean.

The bikes and canoe were a nice perk.

The neighborhood was surrounded by a lake and very cute. Our little dogs enjoyed the walks.

It was a perfect base camp for our kayak trip on Weeki Wachee and our tubing trip on Rainbow River. Each was 45 minutes in different directions.

Home- unjustified

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time renting a house and not staying in a hotel so I was unfamiliar with how things work. Diane walked me through everything and was happy to answer my questions via email (and I had a lot lol).

The pictures do not do this home justice! It's absolutely lovely.

Diane met me at the house and gave me a tour, showing me a book with everything in it. She's thought of everything I think.

We traveled from KY. My adult son who lives in Ft Myers drove up to join us. We visited family in Inverness. This house was an excellent location for us. We felt right at home immediately. It's cozy, comfortable and beautiful. The screened porch is wonderful. The yard was wonderful for our dog.

The house is spotless. It had everything we needed from slow-cooker, to hairdryer. The "rules" are appropriate and simple as to how to leave the place. Basically treat it as your home. Pretty simple.

Unfortunately, our trip was cut short due to a family emergency so we didn't get to ride bikes (provided) like we had planned. We plan to come back down again soon and plan to stay here with every trip. This will be an annual trip for us.

If you stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Owner's Response: “The pictures don’t do it justice”, We hear this a lot. I think it’s because of the 'feel' of the home. We worked hard to make it homey and comfortable! I hope when you come back you can enjoy the wonderful 46 mile paved bike trail. It is the longest trail in the South East and we are very proud of the, benches, bathrooms and water fountains that the wonderful volunteers have built on the trail. It is definitely a good reason to come back!

Great rental!!

  • 5 of 5

We spent three months at this rental.

First off, Diane met us at the rental to give us a tour of the house and explain and answer any questions that we had. We have not rented many houses, but this is the first time we had such personal one-on-one service and had the landlord meet us at the rental. Diane and Dudley also kept us informed and up-to-date on local activities and attractions and answered any questions we had about the area.

We are very particular about cleanliness and this house fit the bill. This rental is in a very nice, quiet and friendly neighborhood. It is very clean and very well maintained with a fully stocked kitchen, rental bikes, fenced back yard, gas grill and comfortable beds with nice sheets just to name a few things. This house made us feel like we were in our own home...as a matter of fact we really did not want to leave and plan on returning again next winter.

The house is in a very convenient location (one mile) from the Withlacoochee State Trail, which is a very nice 46 mile paved rail trail. Floral City is a very friendly active community with beautiful old oak trees and surrounded by many lakes with nice restaurants, a citrus store, hair salons and beautiful art gallery. If you need or want bigger stores or more choices for restaurants, Inverness is about six miles away.

We cannot say enough good about this rental or the landlords, Diane and Dudley. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable winter. We will see you next January.

Canton, Ohio

we are repeat guests, very nice home, will come again.

We have stayed in this beautiful home a couple of times and will stay again! The neighborhood is nice, the canoes and bikes provided are a nice option and the owner is very professional and accommodating. The kitchen has everything you need and there are plenty of towels, sheets and extra blankets. We have stayed in many VRBO vacation homes and this one is very comfortable and very well stocked. It is nice to have a choice of beds, one with memory foam and one nice pillow top. The linens are also good quality which I appreciated! There is plenty to do in the area. The bike trail is a short distance away and the lake is across the street. It is a short drive to the Gulf of Mexico where you can rent a boat or jet skis. There are actually 7 rivers in the area where you can canoe, kayak or swim in the beautiful springs. Of course the Manatees are a must see. We really enjoy staying at the ‘lodge’ and hope to return soon!
