Although in town you have a view of the harbour from the living room which is situated on the first floor. The area is very private, quiet and only a short distance to the shops and restaurants in town.

Nice living area and good position, quiet but easy access to the town centre

  • 3 of 5

The upstairs living and kitchen area is very pleasant with outlook over the town towards the bay and nice little balcony at the back.

The main bedroom is fine but the second bedroom is really only suitable for children. We were three adults with two sharing the twin room. The door didn't close due to two beds being squeezed into too small a space. Consequently there was little storage space and the mattresses were hard

Otherwise it was well appointed

Great house in quiet spot

  • 5 of 5

The house was upside down in design with open plan living room, dining area and kitchen upstairs which was very comfortable with a wood burning stove for nights in. The weather wasn't the best during our stay, but there is a cute balcony out the back of the property. The bedrooms are comfortable and functional and property was nice and clean. Kinsale is a vibrant town with lots to do, and no shortage of great restaurants and bars. The Tap Tavern being the nearest and the quirkiest with Mary Tap behind the bar and a roaring fire. It's like stepping back in time. For food, we loved Jim Edwards bar, Fishy Fishy and The Supper Club. Charles Fort at harbour worth a visit, as was the boat hire around the harbour. Great holiday

Lovely house in a quiet location

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at this upside down house - the living room is on the upper floor to take in views of Kinsale town and bedrooms on ground floor. The house is nicely decorated and has all you'll need. There is also a little balcony at rear, great for a glass of wine of an evening. The house is in quiet street a few minutes walk to town centre, downhill on way in and up hill on way back to help burn off a few calories from all the amazing restaurants. Really spoilt for choice for eating out in Kinsale. Our favourites were Fishy Fishy, Jim Edwards & Toddies. The ghost tour from Tap Tavern was also hillarious and well worth doing as starts at a pub that is like walking back in time to old Ireland - the owner Mary Tap is a real character. The manager of the house was great to deal with and helpful in recommending things to do in Kinsale and surrounding areas. We'll definitely be back.

Charming and restful

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is very charming and so tastefully decorated.

We couldn't have stayed in a nicer place.

The location is fab being within minutes walking distance of Kinsale centre and the view from the sitting room is lovely.

The heady scent of the masses of orange flowers outside the turquoise front door is the perfect welcome to a truly delightful place. Altogether the perfect lodging from which to discover Kinsale
