Cute cabin with a beautiful view

  • 3 of 5

Cute cabin that was well worth the money... The view was gorgeous and hot tub was very inviting. The cabin had most necessities for a short visit and Gatlinburg was an easy enough drive (must see, it’s beautiful there).

The cabin was quaint and clean with many perks, but there were a few drawbacks...First, we were given the wrong lockbox code so when we arrived after an 11 hour drive we had to wait outside for correspondence in regards to entering the cabin. Second, the owner only provided one trash can outside and asked that renters take extras to an off site trash drop off. (Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like no one on vacation should have to drive on unfamiliar winding roads to get rid of their trash. It’s a simple fix, invest in a second trash can... Long stays will have more than one can of trash.) Lastly, the stairs leading down to the cabin were very dangerous. Railroad ties were uneven and rocks stuck up causing you to trip. The owner did cover one side with roofing material and said to bring a flashlight, but when they were covered in snow, they were scary to go down. Both my husband and I slipped several times.

With all that being said, it was still a great stay.

Tips for future guests:

Take your own firewood (theirs would not burn), have a flashlight and non slip shoes, watch your dogs on the gated porch (there is a hole that they can escape through), bring an actual map (the roads were very difficult to navigate, especially when you ran into signs that said “gps wrong, turn around”), take extra paper products, and visit Gatlinburg! It was truly beautiful... The Ober provided an amazing view and The Alamo was a great place to eat/drink.

Very lovely cabin. Property nice. Mattress needs replaced also one of the pans.

Would of been nice to have another roll of toilet paper. We left 3 rolls there for the next folks. 2 window blinds were broke. Very peaceful. Enjoyed sitting on the deck and the hot tub.

This cabin was perfect. Thank you for allowing our family tp stay in your beautiful home.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the view and the decore was perfect.

Just a few notes to the owner or rental agency.

The master bedroom French door leaks a lot of cold air. It seems as though the frame needs adjusting. Also my wife's suggestion is to add a small wire rack behind the door for food storage. And the stairs are very dark at night maybe a motion light in that area.

To all readers by all means this is just informational to the owner and in no way is a bad review.

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time in the mountains and this cabin. It was perfect for the two of us, but could definitely fit more. Beautiful views and hot tub for an affordable price, can't beat that! Will be returning!

Great Place

  • 4 of 5

Great location and spacious cabin for 2 people. Hot tub wasn't working when we arrived and was repaired within 24 hours, owner notified us when realized it was broken, that was nice! Beautiful views, complete kitchen, and wrap around porch comes with gate in case you have animals.

Nice cabin, but needs improvements

  • 2 of 5

- Hot tub

- Big backyard

- Clean

- Bed mattress is a "fakir bed", and no window blinds. So we didn't have a nice sleeping experience.

- Expect to be uncommunicated, no telephone, no internet, and no cellphone signal. I know is good to get "disconnected" from the city and routine, but would be nice to have internet to watch movies at night, etc.

- Cabin layout is weird...you need to pass through the bathroom to get to the master bedroom!? Not even to mention the outdated decoration and furniture.

- No fire pit

- No propane grill

With less than $2k this cabin could improve a lot and get 5 stars rating. (adding a bedroom door in the right place, getting a new mattress, fire pit, propane grill, and a wifi service)
