About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath

'Summer at the Lake' is located in the northern woods of Minnesota on the crystal clear waters of Big Round Lake. It is the perfect getaway for your summer vacation.

Located just 2 1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities, guests will enjoy the peace and tranquility of the evenings as the sun lowers on the horizon. Our cottage, at the water's edge, has two bedrooms and one bathroom on the main floor with an upstairs bedroom loft for additional sleeping quarters.

Our goal is to provide you with everything you will need for your summer vacation at the lake, without the hassles of cabin ownership. Escape from the city for a week or two, swim and fish in the clean, clear water, play with the kids or get away from the kids...the choice is yours. Swim off the dock or take your boat (or ours) to the nearby sandy beaches of the south shore and spend the afternoon swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying a picnic lunch.

We stayed at Summer at the lake for a week. It was great for our kids that were ages 5 - 8. The lake itself is so clear that you could see clear to the bottom. The lake was nice and shallow so we didn't have to worry about the kids. We had a fish fry with all of the fish we caught. The lake house was very clean and cozy. The sunsets were unbelievable! We would definitely go again.

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

For those people who don't have a family lakehouse of their own--good news! It is possible to spend time in a well maintained home away from home situated on a beautiful lake. My friends and I spent such a wonderful week at Summer at the Lake last summer that we have made a reservation for a return visit this year. I am already looking forward to taking the pontoon boat out on the lake, paddling in the canoe, seven evenings of campfires complete with roasted marshmallows, savoring the delights from the outdoor, and drinking my morning coffee on the deck while watching the lake mist burn away. Whether you are a nuclear family or a family of friends a week at Summer at the Lake is just the ticket.

Wonderful Week

  • 5 of 5

Our first experience at Summer At The Lake was wonderful. The property held up to its' description plus more! Very neat and clean, many extras for the kitchen and cooking. Lots of recreational supplies from canoeing to intertubes, lawn games and a pontoon. Was nice to have everything at your fingertips with no worries! Also enjoyed a day in Duluth and a local hiking trail.

We booked our second week right away for 2012 and are anxiously awaiting our next "Summer At The Lake." Recommend this vacation getaway to anyone who loves the outdoors and needs to "get away from it all!

Thanks for a fun week!
