Ideal location

  • 5 of 5

Ideally located in the Centre of Avignon it was a perfect base to explore Southern France and for attending football matches in Lyon Nice and Paris.

The house was excellent with all modern facilities comfortably accommodating three couples. The bicycles were an added bonus. Parking was no problem for our two cars and the train station was a short walk away. The garden was a joy. This was superb value for money and the agent was very friendly and helpful. We had an interesting and eventful holiday.

Delightful house with a garden to feel at home in

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming house. The only negative comment is that the top step of the staircase is quite high, which might cause a problem for people with limited mobility.

The highlight was the wonderful, private, garden - where we ate breakfast, and cooked and ate our evening meals.

The owner and the neighbour who welcomed us to the proberty were both very helpful.

We were worried that parking might be an issue, but on all but one occasion we were able to park right outside the door. There is plenty of parking about 100 metres away.

There are two bus routes that pass the end of the street, but it was an easy stroll into the centre of Avignon. There are local grocery shops as well as a well-stocked Carrefour City within the city walls.

In summary, the property is a delightful house, with a well-equipped kitchen and a garden to relax in. We would all thoroughly recommend the house to another party of two couples.

Calme et détente

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

The house is 10 minutes walk from the historic center. This is very useful when the festival as ready access to theaters, cinemas, restaurants, museums Avignon without being directly in the crowd. The quiet garden allows rest after long days. At the crossroads of Vaucluse and Var is driving tour of typical Provencal villages. They all have a specialty: flea markets, the coast caves of the Rhone, candied fruit, calissons, Provencal markets ...

There are some interesting natural curiosities: the path of ocher in Roussillon, fluorescent water and Vaucluse Fontaine caves.

Historic sites can be visited, Gallo-Roman remains, Pont du Gard, Palace of the Popes ...

Large cities such as Nimes, Arles, Aix en Provence, Marseille, are at a reasonable distance that allows to make the visit in the day.

A beach excursion in summer, skiing in winter you can also do.

On site we have maps and a small white book where we note our favorites in the area for you to share them.
