Perfect base for Breckenridge activities!
My husband and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary with a fabulous 5 night stay at Quandary View Cabin. The online photos sold us in advance, but the reality exceeded our expectations. Our host George was responsive, helpful, and exceptionally gracious. (We even had an anniversary welcome note/gift awaiting us upon arrival!) The cabin was spotless and we'll equipped, with charming mountain country decor and a basket full of literature on Breckenridge activities and area hikes. We used the info to plan full days but loved returning to the cabin and (drumroll please) . . . that view! Whether we sipped coffee in the morning or wine in the evening, doing it on the deck facing towering pines and majestic peaks was such a privilege for us flatlanders. Don't know how we'll top these memories for our 40th anniversary. Hmm. Same time next year, George?
What a nice anniversary getaway. Sounds like Jan and her husband had a great time at our cabin and in the Breckenridge high country. The weather was picture perfect during their stay. We appreciate the easy communications and the perfect condition the cabin was left in. Jan, please do come back again. Maybe our friendly bull moose will great you when you two arrive.
Pictures do not do this cabin justice, perfect retreat away
I took my husband and two kids (3 years old and 3 months old) for a surprise weekend getaway and we had a wonderful time. The views from inside the cabin are astounding. The cabin was perfect for our family, this was our first time to Breckenridge area and it was very easy to get to and from the cabin quickly to go walk around downtown. The amenities in the cabin were as listed and WiFi worked well. The instructions for check-in and Check-out were easy to do. Thank you for sharing your cabin we had a great time and wish we were still there!
Such a nice father's day surprise. The weather conditions where perfect for this family getaway. Elizabeth was pleasant to communicate with as we promptly answered her questions. With their departure, the cabin was left in great condition. We hope to host the family again sometime in the future. Our best to you.
Beautiful Cabin, Breathtaking Views
We had a lovely week stay at the Quandry View Cabin. Easy to get to from Hwy 9 just south of Breckenridge and easy to manage with our rental Toyota Camry (might be different with snow on the ground however). Cabin is located at the end of the street which allows for privacy but doesn’t leave you completely secluded. We were impressed with the breathtaking views of snow capped Quandry Peak and loved waking up to those views every day. Be sure to shut the blinds in the afternoon though because it can get very warm from the sun. Kitchen had all the essentials that we needed. WiFi was strong and satellite TV gave our kids some relaxing entertainment in the evenings although we do wish the living room furniture was a bit more comfortable for unwinding. Hot tub was great each night after long hikes and activities during the day. We saw lots of wildlife including moose, elk, deer, foxes and even a bear. The bear knocked over the locked trash can and came right up to the kitchen window. Be on the lookout when going out, especially after dusk. We loved our stay and will definitely never forget this trip!
What an exciting vacation for Holly and her family. Our local curious black bear was the unexpected surprise. What could have topped seeing the bear would be the bull moose that strolls the neighborhood. We enjoyed hosting the family. They where great to communicate with. Thanks Holly.
Stunning VIEWS, cozy home, CLEAN, PERFECT!!!
Wow. So I am going to agree with everyone before me, this place is better than the pics. I wanted to drink coffee and look at the view (that is the pic that got me), feel comfortable, slightly secluded and not get the impression that I rented the previous college party hut. Nailed it!!! The owners are fantastic and quick to answer any question or throw out a suggestion. Our niece was getting married in Silverthorne so we drove out for a week stay in Breck. This cabin/house was absolutely perfect for 2 couples (and would be for 2 small families). The shared living space (living room, foyer, and kitchen) was cozy and clean,updated-nice appliances, and the view....forget about it! Anything i could say would be an understatement. The main bedroom with the loft and the other queen bedroom and twin bedrooms are separated by a floor, so you have your privacy if needed. Speaking of the spacious main bedroom; if you love the view downstairs...it some how gets better upstairs with repeating giant windows that let you wake up to the mountains. (Don't get freaked out, the only thing staring back may be a mountain goat from Quandry Peak). The lower level bedrooms have direct access to the well maintained hot tub and a second story deck. There are neighbors but you honestly feel secluded (which after being to some of the other cabins/condos other family members were staying at, I can tell you, is priceless). Also, fantastic, were the blinds! Every window has a blind!! (If this isn't on your list of "must haves"...add it) I did not truly appreciate this until i walked into another cabin with amazing windows/views but was met with blinding sun and a 200° living room. There is a washer/dryer and your basic amenities are provided, including toilet paper, paper towels, soaps etc. And you are short run into town if you find you do need anything. To sum up, I highly recommend this cabin, you'll feel comfortable the second you walk in and be blown away with the view. Which, let's face it after traveling is all you really want. :)
Wow, Nevette and her family/friends where absolutely great to have as our Quandary View cabin quests. I must admit that she ranks on top of our list of guests for politeness and communications. Further, we arrived at our cabin a few hours after they departed and the place was so clean it was like no one had been staying there. We are so glad our cabin worked as a get away during a family wedding/get together. We hope Nevette and or her friends will return sometime in the summer or winter. Our best to you.
What an awesome cabin to spend a couple days. We loved our stay!
We are glad we where able to make our cabin available for the short stay of Jeff and his family. We hope to host Jeff again in the future and we appreciate the nice condition the cabin was left in. Thanks.
Beautiful cabin, incredible view!
I stayed with three other people in this beautiful cabin and we had an incredible stay. The fireplace in the living room was great--there we even board games available in the center table! The master bathroom and spacious kitchen had very nice updated features and we enjoyed the three floors (4 if including the loft) because we felt each couple had plenty of room and privacy. Just 10-15 minutes from downtown Breck and so the location was perfect for our excursions and shopping days! Overall we would stay again. :)
We enjoyed hosting Sonia and her friends at our cabin. We appreciate the nice condition they left the cabin in and Sonia's prompt communications. We hope to host them again in the near future. Thanks.
