A wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

‘La petite maison dans le jardin’ was everything we could have wanted for a relaxing holiday. We stayed for a week in June and then for three days in July, and would go back again tomorrow if we could! Monique and her family were friendly, welcoming and always helpful. The house is just lovely: clean, tidy and well equipped, with everything you could need and some lovely little touches of history. The location was great for day trips and so peaceful to come home to in the evenings (and to spend days lying in the sun). There are supermarkets about 10km away and an excellent boulangerie much closer. I’d be very happy to recommend this lovely accommodation to anyone.

Truly wonderful!!!

  • 5 of 5

I can’t say enough about this charming guest house in the countryside near Paris. We spent four days here and loved this warm and inviting coach house - so nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. Perfectly nestled in a charming French village, it is a great home base for visiting Claude Monet's gardens of Giverny, Versailles and the surrounding countryside. We were warmly welcomed by Monique, who took such good care of us during our stay and made us feel completely at home in a way we have not experienced anyplace else. We also enjoyed meeting Claude, who was equally gracious and welcoming. We could not have been happier with our visit and truly look forward to returning to the delightful guest house in Aincourt.

The perfect place to find "joie de vivre."

  • 5 of 5

Hospitality does not get any better than what we experienced staying in Claude and Monique’s little house. The accommodations were clean and spacious; the meals were fantastic; and the relaxed, interesting conversations were exactly what Americans envision when they hear the phrase “joie de vivre.” The genuine warmth of our two hosts made us instant friends, and before we left we knew we had become family. We think of them often and look forward to returning for another stay.

Absolutely perfect French getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The photos do not do "La Petite Maison" justice. The house is gorgeous! And the surrounding gardens are beautiful.

The town in which the property is located is only 45 minutes away from Paris, but worlds away from the stress and hustle and bustle of a city. This is French countryside at its best. You will find farmers selling their home grown asparagus to cobblestone streets. But don't worry; you're also only a 10 minute drive from the Super U supermarket.

You will find everything you need to make your own French cuisine in the kitchen. Then relax in the bedroom in the loft.

The owners, Monique and Claude, are two of the friendliest people you will ever meet. They made sure we had everything we needed and went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing stay. I cannot recommend La Petite Maison enough. We can't wait to go back!

Fantastic stay in Normandy

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the cottage during the summertime and had a wonderful trip. The house is located just 45 minutes from Paris and a short drive from both Monet's gardens and Rouen. The accommodations were so comfortable, clean and cozy that we were able to completely relax between day trips. The gardens surrounding the property are gorgeous and only added to the relaxing atmosphere. The town itself is quaint and charming and we took many lovely strolls through the streets during our week stay. Also, Claude and Monique were the most gracious hosts and we can't thank them enough for their hospitality. I highly recommend this property!
