About the property

Ideal place to relax, to the sound of the stream. Great hiking nearby.

This cozy chalet is nested in a wooded area, with a stream right out back. A great location for lovers of nature and the outdoors. Great hiking nearly and the chalet is short distance from the best skiing in north central Vermont, Smuggler's Notch.

It is newly renovated and has a well equipped kitchen as well as an outdoor grill. It has one double bed and two single bed (trundle deb), clean linen and towels are provided.

The village of Jeffersonville is approx. 5 miles away and it offers restaurants, grocery shopping and other conveniences. In summer, when the 108 South Route is open through the notch, Stowe is accessible through a picturesque route.

Cute, quaint, and quiet!

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay! It was in the perfect location. Right near Smugglers Notch. Very clean. Comfortable. Central to Stowe & Burlington. A nice area for my dog to run around. The owners really thought about "everything" when preparing the Chalet for guests. From dog bowls; DVDs; games; to even a small jar for Vermont maple syrup! I'd stay there again.

Not a single bad thing to say

  • 5 of 5

I rented this chalet for a 5 day ski trip to Smuggs Notch (which is extremely close) and have nothing bad to say. The owner was very responsive and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The place was super clean/warm and loaded with almost any household amenities you could think of. My group and I grew very fond of this place and by the end of the trip it was hard to leave. This will definitely be the first place i look to rent for my future Vermont adventures.

Perfect getaway for a couple or small family

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the chalet for a couple of nights with my girlfriend, we loved it. Small and cozy with a nice deck overlooking the stream in the backyard. Maude was also a great host and very polite. Thank you for the great stay, can't wait to come back

Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this chalet(myself, husband, and 2 dogs). It really is cozy, but with the high ceiling it has a very open feel. The house had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to comfy beds. It was very clean too. Lots of fresh towels and cleaning supplies on hand. The location is perfect. It was so quiet and the only sounds we heard was the creek running behind the house...a very relaxing sound. No internet or cable, which was more than fine with us, so we brought some dvd's, although there were some provided as well as some puzzles and books. Smuggler's Notch ski resort was very close, which was perfect for us as we skied there a few days as well as ate at the restaurants. Even though the resort was close, the chalet felt very secluded. I would imagine this place is perfect for all seasons as there is a deck in the back with a bbq and a few chairs. You really can't beat the views from any of the windows, just gorgeous. We had a lot of snow and it got cold, but the heating inside was great...no issues with utilities whatsoever. We would definitely recommend this chalet, it was perfect.

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cabin, perfect for a couple or small family. We had a great Thanksgiving stay, in the snow covered forest. Perfect access to smugglers notch, Burlington and Stowe.

highly recommend!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 3 (2 adults/1 toddler) plus medium-sized dog were very comfortable here for a November weekend. The chalet was exactly how it looked online and well appointed. The living space was clean and neat, the bedding seemed new and was very comfortable, the kitchen included everything we needed for simple meal preparation, and there were a few extras we know we’d appreciate during warmer weather (grill, porch with chairs and table). The setting is ideal—we were tucked away on a quiet road with only an occasional car passing through, but also within walking distance to 2 restaurants and a short drive to everything else we needed (hiking, grocery store). We would highly recommend this for a small family at any time of year. We hope to return!
