The casually hip neighborhood is bisected by the bucolic Canal Saint-Martin, and is full of cafés, restaurants, and neighborhood shops (boulanger, boucher, primeur, fromagerie).
Floors throughout are iroko, a richly colored tropical wood which emphasizes the warm atmosphere and quality of the whole. The sensation of space is increased by the 3m high ceilings. Strong colors define spaces, light flows between spaces with translucid glass walls. Integrated color-changing LED lighting livens the apartment at night.
Located 4 minutes walk from the Canal Saint-Martin and 8 minutes from the Gare du Nord (trains for the airports, London, Brussels, and Amsterdam)and gare de l'Est (trains for Strasbourg and Frankfurt), this beautiful apartment overlooks two inner courtyards in which leads its own individual entrance.
Sebastien was the perfect host! His loft in Paris was absolutely perfect for myself and my 2 roommates. With a wide open floor plan and 2 separate rooms we couldn't have asked for more. Everything is very modern, nice hardwood floors a very nice bathroom, modern shower toilet and 2 sinks worked so great. Even better the loft is in the ground level making it so convenient and very safe. We found all of the necessary amenities there for us. The local markets are all close and the metro is only a few meters away. Also in a very nice neighborhood. We will definitely be back to stay again.
The flat is conveniently located close to 2 train stations and metros. Owner met us at train station & helped with luggage to flat. Although listed as a 2 bedroom, the futon in one bedroom is unusable as a bed with the "bar in the middle". the other bed was comfortable although the pillows were old. After a short time in the flat, we realized that there was no soap, toilet paper, kitchen towels, paper, pens, napkins, coffee filters, extra towels., linens or blankets. when we inquired, the owner said that it wasn't a hotel. the flat has a hair dryer thanks to me. the kitchen was minimally stocked without so much as a pot to steam vegetables. the flat was neat but not very clean with candy and crumbs under the futon, excessive mold in the bathroom, and a general appearance of greasy fingerprints in a flat with glass everywhere.
There were no reviews available when I rented this flat. The flat is conveniently located by metro stops and 2 train stations, where the owner did meet us and helped with luggage on the walk to the flat. The flat is listed as a 2 bedroom but the futon located in the office is not usable as a bed, extremely uncomfortable with the "bar in the middle". The queen bed is comfortable. Unfortunately, the owner did not supply anything else like toilet paper, soap, paper towels, or coffee filters and reminded us that it wasn't a hotel. Nor were there extra towels or even a hair dryer until we purchased one and left it there. Kitchen supplies consisted of others' leftover food stuff, and a pot collection inadequate to even steam vegetables. The flat was neat but not clean: from candy and crumbs under the futon to a lot of mold in the bathroom, we wondered if the duvet had even been cleaned between guests.
location à recommander pour quelques jours à 4 à proximité du canal st-martin et du parc de la Villette : confortable, moderne et peu bruyant car l'appartement est situé en retrait par rapport à la rue. Avons apprécié la proximité des transports en commun, la disponibilité et les bons plans resto du propriétaire.
Notre séjour s'est très bien passé, le loft est parfaitement conforme au descriptif et Sebastien s'est montré très souple quant aux horaires d'arrivée et départ et très disponible même en remote pour nous aider avec les électroménagers :-). Seul bémol le lit pliable de la 2e chambre n'est pas très confortable, mais dans l'ensemble très satisfaits de notre choix.
Appartement fonctionnel, bien entretenu et pratique pour une famille avec enfants. Accès au métro tout près, ce qui facilite la visite de la ville. Pour les courses pleins de commerçants à proximité avec des produits de qualité. Il faudrait juste un volet plus hermétique dans la grande chambre.
