The property was as described

A previous review mentioned lack of curtains. These had been replaced by the time of our stay. I was pleased with the quiet surroundings, away from the street noise. Easy check-in and check-out procedures. Restaurants and stores were relatively close; metro was a few blocks away but convenient. I would stay here again!

I was traveling with a couple; the noise separation was fine due to the levels in the building. I rarely heard them unless we were in the same room. The kitchen facility was lovely, with plenty of space, dishes, glassware, and utensils. It took a short time to get used to the glass floor in the kitchen. The only suggestion I would have is to add handrails on the stairs.

Great Location!

My husband and I took our two teenage daughters to Paris for the first time and this independent house was perfect for our family. The location was great! There is a wonderful patisserie, Eric Kayser, just steps away. This was our daily breakfast stop. In addition, there is a Monoprix, a market, that has all you need. The metro is easy to get to and the house is located centrally to most tourist spots. The house itself has all the amenities and we liked how it was tucked away off the main street. Our teenage daughters liked the multi levels as it gave them their own space. It was a nice place to come home to after a busy day of sightseeing. I highly recommend staying here if you don't mind the multi level open floor

plan. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, modern, comfortable retreat

We were 2 couples sharing this nice apartment for just over a week. What a change from staying in a hotel in a big city. We loved the location - close to Gare du Nord, several metro stops, shopping, etc. The apartment was in a courtyard which made it very quiet. It was great to have a fridge and washer/dryer even though the dryer doesn't work well. There were plenty of plugs for adapters and it was nice to unpack with ample closet and drawer space. The beds and other furnishings were comfortable. There are many, tricky steps both outside and inside the apartment so you need to consider that when booking. We were hoping that there would be more information from the owner about locations of grocery stores, shops, restaurants, etc. in the area to help us become acclimated to the neighborhood. The directions with pictures of several of the appliances were helpful to some degree but could be better, especially for the washer/dryer. We were surprised that we had to turn on the hot water in the morning an hour before using it. There was no welcome bottle of champagne as promised in the listing. She was accommodating about the damage deposit amount and paying in dollars or euros. Overall, I would recommend this property.

it's complicated

This is a unique property - for good and bad. It is essentially a two story building that has been transformed into a four level space - basically one room per level. This results in 4 different staircases - two of which have no hand rails, one of which has uneven, narrow treads (one of which is slightly unsteady underfoot). The outside staircase would be impossible to negotiate if you are carrying anything because of the way the door opens. Therefore, you use the door that opens directly from the courtyard into the lower bedroom, and then edge your way around the bed with whatever you are carrying and then up a steep curving staircase to the kitchen level. It is clear from the pictures that the upstairs sleeping space is a loft - i.e. no complete walls and, therefore, no door. The surprise was that the downstairs bedroom also has incomplete walls and no door - which resulted, for us, in a real problem since one of us snores which is why we always rent two bedrooms! Some of the floors are glass - so not only is there not privacy of sound, there is also limited visual privacy. The building is in the courtyard of a larger building, so it is a bit of a fishbowl in general. For some reason, a couple of crucial curtains have been removed - you can see the curtain rods - so you need to be careful. There is a motion detector light in the courtyard - so each time a resident goes there to dump trash very bright lights go on which illuminate the entire house because of the missing curtains.

A couple of minor points: we had a different experience with the owner than other reviewers have mentioned - we never actually met her, and found her e-mails snippy and minimally helpful - perhaps a language issue. ? There is no freezer - no big deal but good to know ahead of time - and indeed the website doesn't mention a freezer but we assumed. There were some minor maintenance issues that the owner clearly had no intention of addressing until after we left. The website also mentions a bottle of champagne?!

So - we would not rent this property again. But - if you are more tolerant of lack of privacy than we are, the location, the space, and the quiet are a worth it.

Behind a large porch is hidden a very pretty house that is completely refurbished by an architect, it is in a quiet area in a very beautiful district of Paris. In front of the church of St Augustine, it is located between the great shops and the Champs-Élysées. The Parc Monceau is a few steps away and the Arc de Triomphe is 15 min away by foot.

This independent house is composed of a large fully fitted kitchen in which it’s possible to have dinner, 2 bedrooms with their own bathroom and toilet and a living room with 2 sofas. The television of the living room is equipped with a 5.1 speaker system that you can also use to listen to music.

The inside of the house is designed with a mix of glass and old mouldings. The services of this accommodation are very luxurious.

You can make a shopping list to prepare your arrival (at your charge).

Sheets and towels are provided.

In order to make your visit as enjoyable as possible, a bottle of champagne will be offered upon arrival.
