Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is truly a gem. Well-located, near metros, shops, great restaurants, and yet off of the street (no noise) made this a perfect destination. The place is quite spacious for a Parisian apartment and having a large kitchen was an extra treat. Everything is impeccably organized, clean, and the owners communicated with us throughout our stay, just to make sure everything was fine. We didn't need the check-in though... all was perfect, a real home, warm and inviting and large enough for a family of 4. I will highly recommend the location to friends that I know and we hope to revisit in the future. Perfect, thank you for a wonderful stay!

Stylish and Practical

  • 4 of 5

Apparently part of a gated creative and residential community, this property had the character of both an artist's studio and a two storey family home. The downstairs lounge and dining area were surrounded by contemporary art works, while the kitchen was handy and fully stocked with cooking equipment and utensils, so that you could comfortably eat in if you weren't inclined to eat out at one of the many nearby restaurants. The two upstairs bedrooms would conveniently suit a couple and two teenagers (us) or two couples. The floor of the shared bathroom was made of round stones set in concrete that were comforting on your feet after a long day's walking around Paris. The owner supplied much useful information about local markets, bars, cafes and restaurants. The only reservation was the lack of a railing for the stairs, which fitted in with the adult decor, but might be a risk for very young children. We very much enjoyed our stay at this stylish and practical property.

Tranquil 'studio life' in the middle of Paris!

  • 5 of 5

My Husband and I visit Paris every year for at least two weeks, but we have never parked ourselves in 'The 10th / Canal Saint Martin' before! This was a fresh and new experience and one which was very rewarding. Over time, we had realized that more than a few of our good friends lived in the 10th and excellent on-line bistro and cafe reviews were increasingly coming out of the 10th, depicting it as 'the new Marais' and the place where Paris' top chefs go to eat and the hippest designers work. True, true and true - to a large degree.

With that said, this home is extremely well located for an adventure in the 10th and it's only a short walk to the Marais - the Picasso Museum, the Pompidou, Le Place des Vosges and everything else we love in the Marais.

Other 'Reviews' will tell you how terrific Gurvan was - and he was. They will tell you how smoothly the booking was handled by the owners - and it was; they were delightful gentlemen. They will also tell you that everything was just as depicted and described, and that too is correct. The home is a delightful, warm. welcoming and very comfortable space on a secluded, quiet private passage-way lined with homes and designer and artists studios, right smack in the midst of a bustling, culturally vibrant, multi-ethnic neighborhood filled with tiny markets and food stalls offering superb tastes from every corner of the world. Tucked in between are tiny cafes and bistros owned and managed by chefs from every continent on the globe - and they are each a marvelous adventure. While all of one's favorite streets and neighborhoods in Paris are within easy reach via the 'close at hand' Metro, don't make the mistake of neglecting to explore - at least a mile in every direction - this vibrant sector of what is rapidly becoming the new and very alive Paris!

We look forward to returning to this home again in the spring and ideally, again next fall. We still have a great deal of exploring to do before we check out life in the 19th or 20th, perhaps. ENJOY!

Amazing vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed in Benoit's lovely home for 9 nights and loved every minute of it! The photos accurately show the home and the description of the amenities were exactly as described. The home was clean and everything we needed was available to us. It was fabulous to come home at the end of some long days of exploring the city to a large space to relax in, with a kitchen included! A hotel room can't compete with that!

The location was excellent - not too close to the hype of the tourist area but not too far away from the sights either. We loved the true Parisian feel of the neighbourhood. There were many restaurants nearby including a wonderful bakery right across the street (where we got breakfast each morning!) as well as a pharmacy, two supermarkets, a hospital with parking for a rental car and of course the metro.

Benoit was an excellent host! He was always very quick to answer any and all emails with our questions. His friend Gurvan, who handles the checking in and out, was fabulous to work with. He showed us around the home, answered all of our remaining questions, made suggestions for restaurants and shopping and even gave us his number in case we had questions during the week.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay during our trip to Paris, thank you Benoit!

Amazing experience. Highly recommend this place!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 3 from Rochester Hills (metro Detroit) Michigan, USA, and we stayed at Benoit's place during Euro 2016 (soccer) in June 2016.

I would sincerely recommend this place for any tourists eager to experience Paris.

We loved and enjoyed this place, situated in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, about 10min. walking distance from Place de la République. It is a very, very quiet house in a gangway that keeps the noise away from the street.

An urban style with minimalistic decorations, it has a great open space on first floor with living room, fully equipped kitchen (has everything you need if you're planning on extended cooking or just prepare coffee, snacks) with a big (wood) dining table, laundry room with washer & dryer, and a cozy bathroom.

Upstairs, going on fancy stairs, you will find one very large master BD with closets and TV that has a unique balcony full with flowers (I can't stop myself on adding that it was the best bed & mattress I've slept in other than my home one!)

Also, an extra BD, large and bright, and a very distinguished full bathroom exceed all expectations.

Skylights everywhere, in the main bathroom, both BD's, brings a lot of light from outside. Same from all windows on the first floor.

Not to mention the outdoor patio in front of the house entrance, where we spend most of the time, having breakfast, lunch or dinner, or sipping a glass of wine along with a cigarette that won't bother the neighbors.

Internet Wi-Fi was working great, as the TV Cable. Has AC in both bedrooms, working as well, just that we didn't need to use it.

In regards to the neighborhood, you will love all the near-your-door places you can find: across the house a tasty crêperie (water mouthful crepes, one-of-a-kind boulangerie (bakery) and a Arabic shawarma place. On nearby streets, plenty of grocery stores, boutiques, coffee houses and restaurants for all tastes and budgets.

Our hoist, Benoit, as well as Gurvan, his friend who welcomed us, were very, very nice, open to give us all info in regards to the city and close-by areas, maps, tricks on finding deals and the best methods of transportation in Paris. The house is 7-8 min. walking to the subway station, that takes you in 15-20 min. to the center (Tour Eiffel, Champs-Elysée, Arc de Triumph, etc.)

Overall, a super pleasant experience that I will share with all my friends around the world, in order to warmly recommend this place if travel to Paris.
