|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
Can Flauta is a secluded country house set within its own grounds surrounded by almond trees in 7.500 m2 land. Situated in a very peaceful location between the larger town of Inca and the picturesque village of Selva it is an ideal central location to explore the best of what Mallorca has to offer.
A perfect location for families the villa is set out on one level and provides spacious accommodation with: three air conditioned double bedrooms (one ensuite); family bathroom; large dining room/lounge; and, a fully equipped kitchen and utility room. There are a number of doors providing easy access to the outside living area; this comprises of a large shaded dining area with a superb in-built barbeque next to a herb and flower garden. This dining area is next to the private swimming-pool (8 x 4 metres) and has magnificent views of Selva and the “Sierra de Tramuntana” (Mountains of North Mallorca).
Can Flauta offers comfortable accommodation for 5-6 adults. Located in a quiet country setting, Can Flauta is perfect for sightseeing, going to the beach and a peaceful place to just relax by the pool or under the canopied patio.
The central location is ideal for accessing Mallorca's beaches and towns. Palma is a short 30 minutes by car or train from Inca. The villa (or Finca as they say on Mallorca) is a tranquil place to return after a day out. The patio and swimming pool are both very inviting.
We have stayed at Can Flauta once a year for the past three years. We stay here because the house is clean and comfortable. The pool is clean and private. The kitchen contains everything you need, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, a dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, washing machine, and several different kinds of coffee makers. There is A/C but we don't use it much.
The house is positioned on a large piece of land with many olive and almond trees. The land is surrounded by a wall and there is a lockable gate securing you and your car from the outside world. A car is necessary.
There are several nearby houses but not too close. You are not near a highway so Can Flauta is peaceful and tranquil. You are only five minutes by car from the towns of Inca, Selva and Moscari. There are shops, grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, bars and weekly markets in these towns. We love the town markets, especially the Sunday market in Pollenca and the Thursday market in Inca. The fruits and vegetables are unbelievable.
The beaches on the east coast are about 20 minutes by car. The mountains, which you can see from the outside eating area, are only a few minutes away. The Finca is very centrally located with easy access to the airport, Palma, and many Mallorcan towns.
The owner has always been very responsive and helpful, providing some basic necessities to make your stay comfortable from day one. There is an information book explaining the operation of the appliances and some valuable information about the area.
We have stayed at three other locations on Mallorca and none of them came close to Can Flauta for privacy, quiet, amenities, and enjoyment. We always feel comfortable at Can Flauta and look forward to returning.
From the moment we walked through the gorgeous wooden front door we were in love with this villa. Combining authentic country house with modern luxury and style the villa was extremely clean and well maintained. Gabriel was the perfect host and very responsive if you run into any problems (like accidentally setting off the house alarm..whoops!) The villa feels totally secure behind lockable gates and gives you total privacy as is surrounded by Almond trees and traditional stone wall. If the wind is blowing in a particular direction you can just about hear the main road, but the majority of the time we heard nothing besides goat bells and donkeys! Pure bliss! The pool was fantastic with sun all day if you wanted it, but also areas of shade if it gets too much! You will need a car to get supplies etc, but the huge supermarket is only a 5 min drive away in Inca and sells EVERYTHING you could possibly imagine. The central location of the villa is perfect if you want to explore the island, as is only about a 30min drive to the North and 45min to the South West via the main Ma13 road. If you want to experience the pure magic of Mallorca though, I highly recommend a drive along the Western mountain roads, the sunsets just blew me away! Fantastic holiday, fabulous villa, will hopefully be back again soon. Thank you Gabriel.
Can Flauta in Selva is the perfect holiday location for us and has been for many years; we first came to C’an Flauta in 2006 when our children were aged 10 months, 2 and 4 years. Over the years our holidays have been extremely varied reflecting the ages of our children; we can hardly believe so much time has passed and each year we eagerly await our holiday at C’an Flauta. The initial years involved us visiting the many beautiful villages, local markets, attractions and beaches which are all very accessible and near to the Villa. We find the location a good central base for exploring much of Mallorca particularly the North.
We have over the years done much exploring and with relatively short walks you can find idyllic locations and more often than not have them all to yourself. Each year we find new things to do and in our view the Villa and its location is as appealing to a family (with children of all ages) as it is to adults; you are most certainly spoilt by the variety of cultural and sporting activities all within easy reach. For a few years we took climbing gear and found some lovely locations in the shade early on in the day and more recently road biking has been on the agenda for the boys with the girls swimming in the local outdoor 50m pool (in Inca) before earning their time back at the Villa.
The Villa, its grounds and of course the pool remain a key attraction for the children; the night time swims in the lighted pool remains one of the holiday highlights. It is in an idyllic location with magnificent views towards Selva and the mountains and set in its own private grounds; it is lovely and secluded but yet has a choice of supermarkets/restaurants nearby. The property itself is spacious with three bedrooms and two bathrooms and conveniently it is set on one level with large living/dining area and kitchen with a table and seating. We find the space outside for the children to run around and explore a bonus and there is lots of outdoor seating and also shade - great for BBQs and generally outdoor living. All the property is well maintained with all your home comforts plus more and the pool is cleaned regularly.
We are very much looking forward to our next visit in August. Nicola, Mike, Callum, Millie and Becky.
We chose this villa because we wanted somewhere that we could use as a touring base but be away from the busy main resorts. It was perfect!
The villa is situated just outside Inca, meaning that you have shops and supermarkets nearby, plus easy access to the motorway and road network. However, the villa is far enough away from the town to feel peaceful and in the countryside. As the villa is centrally located, with a hire car you can get to everywhere you might want to go on the island within 60 to 90 minutes maximum. It is perfectly situated for this. From here we visited Soller, Palma, Porto Cristo, Sa Colobra and Cap de Formentor all really easily. The beach at Alcudia was perfect for our children and was only 20 minutes drive away.
The villa itself was perfect for us and our two young children. The pool was a decent size and has some steps to enter it, which also double as a pleasant seating area to sip a drink whilst relaxing in the pool. The garden of the villa is also a very good size and the property is not overlooked and very private.
Inside we had everything we needed and the property was clean and in a good condition. The lounge area was a good size and had some very nice features - the window overlooking the patio with the view to Selva is beautiful.
The owner was extremely helpful and friendly and sorted us out with a travel cot and high chair as soon as we arrived.
We would definitely recommend this villa to those looking for a peaceful retreat, but with excellent access to the rest of the island.

If you want to experience a holiday away from the beaches of Mallorca, then time spent at Can Flauta is a good bet.The single storey property is pleasing to the minimalist eye, as the modern facade blends into the rural and tranquil setting. The garden and pool area are very spacious and ideal for outdoor living.
Inside the villa is simple and well maintained and the standard of dishwasher, fridge, cooker and washing machine is of a high quality. However if you wish to cook more than basic meals then the kitchen does not have enough oven dishes or storage containers.
The owner provided an excellent and friendly customer
service, on our 2 previous visits. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the Boquer Valley, which is about a 30 minute drive from Can flauta. The market at Inca is an excellent source of fresh fruit and vegetables.
