Wonderful vacation rental with great views of the lake

  • 5 of 5

This cabin exceeded our expectations. It was very cute, clean, great amenities and with a wonderful view of the lake. My husband and I were looking for a quiet get away from our busy lives and this was just what we were looking for. We loved drinking our coffee in the mornings in the lake room. It has a great view of the lake and a wood burning stove which was great on a few very cool mornings. On our first morning, we saw 4 otters playing in the lake! We enjoyed kayaking and even used the fire pit one night for smores. If you like hiking, we really enjoyed Copper Falls State Park that was only about 30 minutes away. The falls were beautiful. We also went to a nice orchard in Hayward, about 40 minutes away, Mary's Sunday Morning Orchard. I would love to come back earlier in the summer with our kids and spend more time out on the lake. I would recommend this cabin.

Fantastic Stay

  • 4 of 5

Included were kayaks and a row boat. My dad and my son and I had a great time on the water. When it rained we played some board games which were provided. There was everything we needed to make meals. We gathered around the fire ring in the evening for good conversation and to view the beautiful starry night sky. The cabin was clean, comfortable and inviting and we really felt welcomed.

Loved this place!

  • 5 of 5

This cute & clean cabin was perfect for our family of 5. We had an amazing time! The yard is spacious with lots of yard games. Fishing off the dock was great, our 3 year old even caught her first fish. The lake is clean and the kids spent most of the days swimming: has sandy bottom that gradually deepens. I had to work most of the trip, but the wi-fi was great and sitting on that deck overlooking the lake & kids playing was a great change of scenery. We kayaked over to the island and saw the eagle nest with eagles inside - just beautiful! Very peaceful & relaxing... just what we needed to reset. Joel and Annette have a piece of paradise with lots of rich history. We fell in love with this place and we plan to come back next year.

Perfect Quiet Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The Hovestol's generosity and attention to detail shine in this cabin. The family clearly takes a lot of pride in maintaining and updating their cabin year after year. It's great to see a true cabin stay so fresh and unique. Reading through the guest book, it's clear others feel the same.

This cabin trip will not soon be forgotten and was exactly what my family needed to unwind and reconnect. Thanks, Hovestols!

God's blessings to your family!

Wonderful time with the family

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 absolutely loved our time at this charming cabin on Clam Lake. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, lawn games, puzzles and board games. The lake and surrounding area is just beautiful. We completely unplugged from technology and had quality family time together. We enjoyed the nearby towns and state parks, too. Working with the Hovestals was a piece of cake! They are kind and generous people. We would definitely return.

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this cabin--a good combination of "old school" cabin charm with updated features. The setting was lovely, and whatever we needed was there! We will definitely stay here again.
