Lovely beach fronted huge rambling villa

Villa gates opening straight onto Med. Huge roomed gardens and plenty of outside seating, eating and lounging areas. We stayed end of October and enjoyed 5/7 beautiful days, the sea chilly but swim everyday. We had a mixed age group, I think we would have struggled to fill a rainy week. There are some lovely towns to visit but don’t expect entertainment and beach facilities out of season. Reasonably stocked shop within walking distance (10 minutes along beach or same on the road) plus cafes/gelaterias and large restaurant (Rosengarten, recommended). The surrounding area is a bit of an eyesore with hundreds of poly tunnels in varying states of disrepair. The villa itself is large and rambling, could do with another shower/bath as the only 1 shower. The only hot water in the property is in the one shower (jug from there to fill the sink with hot water) but the kitchen does have a dishwasher. No kettle for the English tea. Two large basement bedrooms (one walk through to the other) and another bedroom at the top of those stairs share a toilet. 4th bedroom next to bathroom and kitchen and lounge. WiFi available in one end of the conservatory but not within the house. We moved the smart TV down there and plugged our Firestick in for the odd evening film. Highly recommend a walk down the valley at Riserva Naturale Cavagrande del Cassibile, stunning steep walk and deep river pools for swimming. Overall I’d describe the villa as in need of updating but we had a lovely holiday.

Like relaxing on an ocean liner

This villa is really wonderful set in a high-walled private garden awash with Spring blossoms. To the rear is the sea just a few steps from the veranda. It's like being aboard an ocean liner floating in the Mediterranean Sea. The tranquility of birds singing and sea lapping is truly wonderful and relaxing. Swimming in the sea daily was so amazing especially as the house has an outside shower tucked away behind shrubs. This house is huge and there are so many places to eat both inside and out that you can select a new area for every meal. There's even a giant roof terrace which is a sun trap all day. An archeological park is 3 minutes up the road with buildings on the beach as well as in the tree shaded park. For Montalbano fans, his beachside house is 500m away along the beach. And all around there are Baroque towns used as further backdrops to the show. All glorious and totally beautiful. I didn't want to leave but someone else had booked in after me. I just wanted to stay. Some evenings the full moon sat above the sea making it glisten with silver light. The terrace was even warm all night. A tremendous place to relax by the Mediterranean.

Freiraum für die Seele

Wir haben in diesem wunderschönen, großzügigen und künstlerische Anwesen im Oktober zwei Wochen die Seele baumeln lassen. Erholung pur. Strand und Meer so unmittelbar genießen zu können - ohne Straße oder Weg dazwischen ist einzigartig. 25 Grad, Sonne pur, das Wasser hatte noch eine angenehme Badetemperatur, der Strand - menschenleer. Das großzügige Haus bietet viele Plätze zum Verweilen, ebenso der schöne Garten mit seinen vielen versteckten Schattenplätzen und seiner Sonnenterrasse. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war angenehm und unkompliziert. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sogar mitten in der Nacht freundlich in Empfang genommen. Herzlichen Dank für diese schöne Zeit.

Wunderbare Ferienvilla mit leichten Nachteilen...

Wir haben hier einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub verbracht - die Gastgeber sind freundlich und hilfsbereit, kleinere Beschwerden wurden prompt erledigt. Die Lage des Hauses direkt am Strand ist wunderbar, der Garten ist weitläufig und sehr gepflegt, man findet zu jeder Tageszeit einen schattigen Platz. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für die etwas irreführenden Angaben. Wir haben es für drei Erwachsene gemietet, die separate Zimmer benötigen, und das bietet das Haus nicht. Es gibt ein großes Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und einem großen Schrank und ein Kinderschlafzimmer mit einem Einzelbett und einer kleinen Kommode. Drei weitere Betten befinden sich im Halbkeller, dieses Zimmer hat keine eigene Waschgelegenheit. Das Haus verfügt über ein voll ausgestattetes Badezimmer mit Dusche und WC und über ein zweites WC mit einem großen Waschbecken. Im Garten befindet sich eine Außendusche, die natürlich praktisch ist, wenn man vom Strand kommt, die man aber nicht als vollwertige zweite Dusche bezeichnen kann. Die Angabe "2 Badezimmer" ist daher - sagen wir: übertrieben optimistisch. Nette Bars und Restaurants sowie ein kleiner Supermarkt befinden sich in Gehentfernung in Punta Secca. Wie gesagt: Empfehlung für Familien mit Kindern, für mehrere Erwachsene weniger geeignet.
