We were in town for a couple of days doing some fly fishing in the area, found the Backcountry Angler on VRBO., price was right very comfortable. Mary was a great host!

Very nice and clean place. Everything you need is there. Very quiet and comfortable. We love it.

The owners are very helpful and accommodating. They always help guide us as to conditions on the area rivers. Their Fly Shop is very well stocked. They always have everything we need down to the finest detail. Their experience is very thorough. We feel that they have the best and most enthusiastic fishing guides in the area. They even help us with restaurant selection, area historical and natural sites to visit.

We keep coming back.

Good experience. Needs air conditioning throughout. The room air couldn't cool the whole place.

I just wish it had been away from the city.

Comfortable one night stay

  • 5 of 5

My parents and I stayed at Backcountry Angler B&B for a Saturday night while exploring some of the nearby "old West" towns. Communicating with Tom and Mary before our stay was easy with prompt replies and always providing answers to my questions. The place was just what we needed with more than enough beds available for us to use. The Montana summer night was pleasantly cool with the breeze coming in the windows. Of course if you would rather have AC there was an in-wall unit. We arrived after the shop closed, but the place was ready for us when we arrived later that evening with our name on the door. In the morning we enjoyed the muffins, OJ and some cereal that were there for us and then I was able to check out with Mary at the shop. While we were there just over 12 hours, our time in their place was easy, comfortable and just want we needed. I would recommend Tom and Mary's place to anyone looking for a place in Dillon.

Clean, comfortable, and charming!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Backcountry Angler was very nice. Tom and Mary have a lovely set up for their guests. The reasonable price and privacy make this a far better option than a hotel!

Cute, well located, clean property

  • 4 of 5

WE all enjoyed our stay there for the short period we had. It is a well kept older property, well located and clean. WIFI was good. Thw only drawback for me was the Television with very minimal sports stations. Beds were also just ok.
