Beautifully appointed apartment more than lived up to its description. Carlo's family was very helpful and we especially enjoyed the treats and pastries. We were impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the apartment that was very thoughtfully laid out.
Ancient roman sites a short walk away, close to metro & the train, and great shops and enotecas just outside the door. Places to go include the testaccio market, Volepetti, and the gelatorria two doors down. Definitely try the pizza at the bakery two blocks left and the enoteca across from the piazza. The Pyramide hides behind it Keats cemetery, all a must see. No matter what time of day we felt safe and locals were always willing to help.
This was our first time in Rome and we feel any other trip there would be hard to live up to. We will recommend this apartment to everyone we know. Grazie Carlo, you spoiled us!
Carlo and Alessandra were above the normal expectation! They provided information about the Testaccio neighborhood, great restaurants and ease of bus service. We have never had such accommodating and warm owners! We will be staying at this beautiful apartment many times in the future!
My husband and I started our honeymoon on the Almafi coast and then ended in Rome at Carlo and Alessandra's apartment! Well we definitely saved the best for last!! The apartment is gorgeous... everything is brand new, modern and immaculate. When we arrived there, Carlo and Alessandra spent time with us going over the area- how to use the buses, places to see, restaurants, etc. They were really organized and had left maps and everything for us. They are the nicest people!! The location was great... it was close and convienent to everything. Also the bed is plush unlike every other hard bed we slept on in Italy. When my husband and I go back to Rome, we know where we are staying!
The apartment is amazing. It's in a great location to go explore and if you don't mind walking everything is a walkable distance! Be sure to use the restaurants in the local area as they are some of the best we have eaten in whilst in Rome, full of great people! Carlo and Alessandra go the extra mile to make sure you are completely happy. We can't thank them enough and we will be recommending your apartment when we get home!

The property is brilliantly situated near a number of great Roman restaurants. The apartment is in the centre of Rome but situated just outside the main tourist area so the prices are very fair. It is a short walk from the Piramide metro stop and bus stops so travelling is easy.
The apartment was perfect for our stay (we were on our honeymoon) and was exactly as advertised. Carlo and Alessandra was very helpful and gave us some great tips on where to eat and drink in the local area and the best way to travel to see the many sights Rome has to offer.
We would definitely recommend this and may even try and book again in future ourselves!
Perfect location to launch a stay focused on the wonderful Roman cuisine, characteristic food market, fancy pastries made on-site, not in some suburban factory and one of the most beloved specialty deli named Volpetti.
The kitchen is well equipped for eating from the many nearby food sources. Across the lane at the front door we purchased the famous sicilian blood oranges for glasses of fresh sqeezed juice daily.
The mattress in the bed is firm and excellent. My girlfriend's sore back normally causes her problems when she sleeps in her travels but not at Alessandra & Carlo's place. Remarkable. Closet space was bountiful and held all our clothes, travel accessories and souvenirs perfectly. The bathroom and shower stall was clean, spotless with heated towel racks, a bidet and dependable hot water. The windows of the appartment face an interior courtyard. Despite the many residents surrounding the courtyard it is blissfully quiet at night. Although the next street over is a main urban thoroughfare there is no traffic noise to disturb your sleep.
The apartment has an active bus/tram hub nearly at the bottom of the front door. From the airport the Ostiense train station means you need not ride as far as the center of town. A train ticket costs 8€ rather than 14€. The metro line B is located nearly adjacent to the train station and you are one subway stop away from the entrance to the Colesseum.
Some nice touches in the apartment were a bottle of Prosecco wine in the refrigerator, lovely snack biscuits made with olive oil and two folding umbrellas to guard against Rome's sometimes frequent winter showers.
If you are seeking a modern Roman experience and location not yet 'discovered' by armies of tourists, come rub shoulders with everyday people and stay at Carlo and Alessandra's wonderfully cozy apartment.
#In the same Neighborhood we have an other property that you can visit on the site www.HomeAway N. 6594314

It takes 20 minutes to reach us by train (FR1) from Fiumicino airport to Stazione Ostiense and about half an hour using Ryan Air bus Shuttle from Ciampino airport using ryan air bus shuttle and 'B' line to Piramide railway station. Metro undergrounbd station “Piramide” is close by and as well by a walking distance is 'Eataly', a food chain specialized in the best Italian quality food products and cooking recipes of typical foods.
To get to a majestic viewpoint of the city climb up to Colle Aventino (one of the seven roman hills) which will entice you with a romantic sight of Rome from the “Giardino degli Aranci' where you will have the possibility also to visit some of the oldest Churches of the city.
From mid-June to aerly September, walking up to Ponts Sublicio, live demonstration of Roman summers 'along the Tiber Roman
For the lovers of nightlife, via di Monte Testaccio (which rounds Monte deiCocci hill) offers several discos and 'movida' and on-fashion nightspots like Alibi, Radio Londra, Caffè Latino.
Besides the Pyramid of CaioCestio you can find another exceptional historical site: the Monumental Protestants Cemetery for Foreigners (mostly English). It dates back to 1716, with the tombstones written in several languages and often with characters engraved with the traits of hand-writing. The setting is all surrounded by centuries-old cypress trees scattered among tombstones of writers, painters, historians and artists.
