A well equipped ground floor, two bedroom apartment (70 square metres) on the seafront, with pool view.
The LOUNGE/DINER features a well equipped American-style kitchen with oven, electric hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer, toaster, iron, rotating fan and washing machine, plus TV, DVD/CD/MP3 player and a radio. There is seating for eight people and the sofa converts into a double bed.
Both BEDROOMS have two single beds each plus a fold up bed, increasing the capacity to six. There is also a cot available, if required.
The single beds are all 6 feet long by 3 feet wide.
The BATHROOM has a bath, with shower, and a toilet.
There are TWO SECURE TERRACES, with child safety gates, making the apartment ideal for young families. The back terrace has a patio table and chairs and provides direct access to the swimming pool. A collapsible clothes dryer is available for use on the terrace.
The outdoor SWIMMING POOL is clean and spacious.
All local amenities are close by, including the MAIN SUPERMARKET, which is a three minute walk away, and bakes fresh bread all day!
There is EASY PARKING at no charge all around the complex.
FOR LARGER PARTIES - If you want to travel with another family, I can book the apartment next door to me.
My apartment can take up to 6 people, and next door can take 4 people, so we can accommodate up to 10 people, between us.
Pro’s: great location close to city center, nice bar and beach. Nice pool (if working – was under renovation when we visited), nice balcony with late afternoon/evening sun. Nice bathroom and good shower. Kitchen with all necessary utensils etc for cooking. Easy to get keys.
Con’s: looks a bit run down, advertisement said wifi yet this came at an extra cost and was from another flat hence connection only possible when sitting at balcony, advertisement said hairdryer but we couldn’t find one, quite a lot of communication with owner (time consuming), cleaner could be a bit more thorough.
Suggestions for improvement: A folder in the flat with all necessary information e.g. wifi instructions, cab company, where to but the carbage etc.
We also suggest updating the advertisement.
Overall we found the flat to be a good base while on holiday in Tenerife and the owner very friendly.
The apartment had everything we needed we love El Medano a good family destination we will definately be going back...good support whilst their also ...Apartment was very comfortable,clean and well stocked with equiptment ..
First time to El Medano with our 3 year old. An excellent small beach town for families and windsurfing/kitesurfing. Lots of nice bars and restaurants and play areas for children. Easy base to access other mountain and beach areas. The appartment was perfect and good value for money. The block was quiet with only a few other appartments occupied. The pool was too cold to use (even with a wetsuit!) but the pool and balcony were lovely to sit out on in the evening.
The appartment had everything necessary - kitchen well equipped and washing machine very handy.
Definitely recommend the area and this appartment.
my friend and I had the most wonderful stay here in June. The apartment is clean, well stocked and has a fabuous pool area. The village/ town is superb for family and it is quiet and safe and friendly. there are enough restaurants and bars for variety and all meals were extremely good and value for money. try the Hong Kong for great chinese and Aqua Viva for lovely traditional Spanish and general meals, I loved the roasted lamb!!! the weather was excellent , yes it is windy but by the pool this is a plus to keep from overheating!! We would definitely recommend this property and location to anyone who wants a relaxing sunworshipping break we are DEFINITELY going back asap!!!!
We (2 adults, 2 little children) had a wonderful stay in this apartment in El Medano. The apartment itself was clean, quite spacious for a holiday apartment and very suitable for little children. In January, we couldn't use the pool, because it was not heated, but the pool area was nice anyway. The house is right as the waterfront, the beach in walking distance. Perfect. El Medano is quite windy, so sometimes it was better to take a short tour to Los Christianos, which is close. We definitely would like to come again.

Under 1 week for 2 people is £45 a night - Minimum Stay is 4 nights at £45 = £180.
From 1 week for 2 people is £40 a night = £280 - Extra nights are pro-rata.
If more than 2 people stay, there is an extra charge of £3 per person per night, to cover the cost of the extra washing and cleaning.
25% Deposit to be paid to confirm booking of the apartment, then the full balance to be paid 6 weeks before departure.Pay preferably by Bank Transfer, if not possible, by cheque.
El Medano (Granadilla de Abona) is a friendly beach village with a ' laid back ' atmosphere situated only a 10 minute drive from the airport.
There is a large main beach and also many small coves, all with the spectacular backdrop of Red Mountain.
There are many good quality, but reasonably priced, restaurants and a wide selection of bars.
El Medano is ideal for sun worshippers, swimmers, windsurfers and golfers - Golf del Sur, which is just 6km away, features two 18-hole international standard golf courses. There is also good fishing in the harbour as well as many other sports and adventure activities.
Walkers of all levels will enjoy the surroundings, whether it is a hike up Red Mountain or an amble along the boardwalk.
