About the property

Come and discover a hidden gem in Wren!

A charming private retreat, The Little Cabin, is the perfect 1930’s vacation getaway. This cozy cabin sits atop our 15 acre Wren Vineyard and offers an awesome view of Mary’s Peak, the tallest mountain in the Oregon Coast Range and the Mary’s River which winds its way along the bottom of the property. On weekends you are welcome to join us for complimentary wine tasting in the big ol' barn up the road from the cabin (details below).

The little vintage cabin is an original from our farm's dude-ranch days. It just doesn't get much more charming...

In the cabin you can gaze out over the quiet rolling hills, sip award winning wine from the organically farmed grapes below while you enjoy relaxing on a sun drenched deck. While we've kept the vintage feel of the cabin we have updated it a bit with a small artful kitchenette, indoor plumbing with stand-up shower. You can plug in with wi-fi and phone reception. Or you can unplug. The little cabin has no T.V. Instead, you can cozy up on the love seat next to the wood stove with your sweetie, watch a beautiful sunset from the deck and pick up a good book in the evening. This romantic setting is perfect for a honeymoon couple, anniversary, wonderful as an artist/writers retreat or just a weekend getaway. Located 11 miles west of Corvallis (and Reser Stadium for you Beaver fans). Dogs are negotiable if they are small (25 lbs. or less) and well behaved but would cost a little more. Sorry, no cats. Dogs are NOT to be left unattended in the cabin. This is a working farm/vineyard so depending on the time of year you are here there may be farming activity.

The Little Cabin is your respite from a day of exploring the rolling meadows and woods, mountain biking, hiking up the local trails and a dip in the local swimming hole. Day tripping to the ocean is a favorite activity. Visit the city of Newport and Historic Nye Beach 45 minutes west of Wren. Or visit the working fishing harbor and dine by the docks at the award winning restaurant Local Ocean. Drop your bags and cares at the door of the Little Cabin and explore the nearby town of Corvallis. A wealth of opportunity awaits you downtown, with delicious dining choices, a plethora of entertainment, boutiques and the beautiful Oregon State University (OSU) campus to explore.

Check in is 3 pm and check out is noon. We are open for wine tasting every weekend from April - Nov. Saturday and Sunday 1 to 6 pm. While the cabin is private to our guests there will be people activity up at the barn and on the grounds. As a guest, you are welcome to join us for complimentary tasting.

Amazing, private, beautiful getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is incredible! If you're looking for a quiet getaway with a spectacular view then this is the place. My wife and I booked this for our anniversary and had a great night. The wood stove, log and wood beam construction and look, privacy, amazing view...it was everything we wanted. All the wood was provided for the wood stove, there was an wonderful bottle of wine waiting inside, the entire atmosphere was rustic and perfect for our tastes. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this cabin is so that other people wouldn't learn about our new favorite getaway spot!

Comfy rustic cabin with a gorgeous view of the vineyards

  • 5 of 5

I regret I did not have more time to hang out at the cabin and the winery on this trip. It was a lovely setting, wonderful view from the cabin's porch and windows, the cabin was very clean and cozy, especially once we got the wood stove fired up. If you follow the directions for fire building you will wake up to warmth and a few lingering coals to easily get it going again. The bottle of wine was a generous gesture and the 1/2 n 1/2 in the fridge a welcome treat for my morning tea. I would definitely stay here again and am hoping to make another trip this coming spring.

Amazing, cozy, unique, and more!

  • 5 of 5

The only sad part about our 3 days at the Little Cabin is that we were hardly there! We had activities all day elsewhere, but would get "home" to this very cozy retreat and fall into the most comfortable, cute bed. We could see snow on Mary's Peak (so we hiked up there!) and the vineyards out the window. The property was beautiful in the wet, fall splendor. Our hosts communicated by text and email, responding to any questions. We loved all the vintage decor. Our son is at OSU (just 15 min away) for 4 more years, and our daughter is planning to transfer to join him in a couple years. We will definitely visit again... and take part in the wine tasting too! Thanks PK and Dai!

Amazing time!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I had a great time at this cozy cottage. The winery staff were knowledgeable and helpful and the wines were delicious. I am not a pro at wood stoves so not sure I would stay in the dead of winter. Also plan on eating out most meals as it is not really a cooking kitchen (no microwave either). Finally, although the refrigerator was cute, the loud motor on it was not. We spent our days out hiking various trails, so the cabin was perfect for us. If you plan on being lazy and staying in, I would consider something else.

We had a great time!

  • 5 of 5

This little cabin is rustic in a wonderful way. The furnishings were period to back when the whole vineyard area was a dude ranch. This cabin is the sole survivor. It was well stocked with all of the things you would need for the kitchen and the bath. The wine tasting was good and the staff there greeted us as friends. Their dinner recommendations were spot on. The Woodsman in Philomath for Thai food. We shall return.

Adorable cottage!

  • 5 of 5

The perfect way to relax and enjoy a quiet evening. I love the history of the cottage and the vineyard was beautiful! Even though the weather wasn't the best, we enjoyed the wood burning stove while drinking a complimentary bottle of their pinot noir (Lumos). We easily went to Corvallis to see the campus and eat dinner. Overall, the cabin was a treat and the location was very private yet convenient.
