Little Cabin at Wren Vineyard

Overview

About the property

Come and discover a hidden gem in Wren!

A charming private retreat, The Little Cabin, is the perfect 1930’s vacation getaway. This cozy cabin sits atop our 15 acre Wren Vineyard and offers an awesome view of Mary’s Peak, the tallest mountain in the Oregon Coast Range and the Mary’s River which winds its way along the bottom of the property. On weekends you are welcome to join us for complimentary wine tasting in the big ol' barn up the road from the cabin (details below). If you are a Lumos Wine Club member please contact us directly about reserving the cabin.

This little vintage cabin is an original from our farm's dude-ranch days. It just doesn't get much more charming...

In the cabin you can gaze out over the quiet rolling hills, sip award winning wine from the organically farmed grapes below while you enjoy relaxing on a sun drenched deck. While we've kept the vintage feel of the cabin we have updated it a bit with a small artful kitchenette, indoor plumbing with stand-up shower. You can plug in with wi-fi and phone reception. Or you can unplug. The little cabin has no T.V. Instead, you can cozy up on the love seat next to the wood stove with your sweetie, watch a beautiful sunset from the deck and pick up a good book in the evening. This romantic setting is perfect for a honeymoon couple, anniversary, wonderful as an artist/writers retreat or just a weekend getaway. Located 11 miles west of Corvallis (and Reser Stadium for you Beaver fans). Dogs are negotiable if they are small (25 lbs. or less) and well behaved but would cost a little more. Sorry, no cats. Dogs are NOT to be left unattended in the cabin. This is a working farm/vineyard so depending on the time of year you are here there may be farming activity.

The Little Cabin is your respite from a day of exploring the rolling meadows and woods, mountain biking, hiking up the local trails and a dip in the local swimming hole. Day tripping to the ocean is a favorite activity. Visit the city of Newport and Historic Nye Beach 45 minutes west of Wren. Or visit the working fishing harbor and dine by the docks at the award winning restaurant Local Ocean. Drop your bags and cares at the door of the Little Cabin and explore the nearby town of Corvallis. A wealth of opportunity awaits you downtown, with delicious dining choices, a plethora of entertainment, boutiques and the beautiful Oregon State University (OSU) campus to explore.

Check in is 3 pm and check out is noon. We are open for wine tasting every weekend from April - Nov. Saturday and Sunday 1 to 6 pm. While the cabin is private to our guests there will be people activity up at the barn and on the grounds. As a guest, you are welcome to join us for complimentary tasting.

Amazing getaway weekend!

  • 5 of 5

As always our stay in the little cabin was amazing! We attended the wine tasting in the barn on Saturday what a great time. Wonderful wine and the appetizers were perfect. We love coming here for weekend getaways. Very romantic and cozy place to recharge! We come at least once a year! Thank you to the wonderful owners P.K. and Dai!

wonderful vineyard experience!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wren Vineyard. The cabin had all the essentials we needed, the view was outstanding, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. And the daily visits from Annie, the Corgi, were an added bonus!

We couldn't have asked for a better little escape

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here on our wedding weekend and also held a wine tasting in the lavender garden on the big day (alternative to a cocktail hour). PK and Dai are fantastic hosts and we absolutely plan to come back. The views are fantastic and the quaint cabin is very comfy. Annie, their corgi, is just about the cutest animal on earth and will very politely stand outside the front door while waiting for you to come outside and play with her. (she knows not to come in the house.) Stay here if you want peace and quiet just a short drive from Corvallis and a bit longer drive from the ocean.

Our time at the little cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is exactly how it is described. It was amazing sitting out on the back porch with a glass of wine, enjoying all of the stars at night. We used the french press to make coffee every morning. We strolled through the vines which are right out the back door and enjoyed the lovely wine at the big barn just up the hill. The entire cabin was super clean. We want to know their secret for keeping such a clean cabin in a dusty environment. The cabin is rustic, charming and peaceful. If you are looking for a comfortable, remote getaway this the cabin is for you.

Paradise in the vines

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Wren Vineyard. It was a perfect peaceful getaway. It was fascinating to see the history of the H-H Ranch and imagine what the cabin was like back during the dude ranch days. All the details of the historic cabin were so well done and the deck overlooking the vines and mountain was wonderful. We would rank this spot as one of the top places we have had the pleasure of staying over the years. We hope to be back someday.
