Slow down and step back in time at the Moses Taylor Farmhouse. Built in 1902 and completely renovated in 2012, this home is located just off Main Street in the historic district of Coalville, Utah. You can take a walk to the old grocery store, museum, restaurants and library. A haven for mountain and road bikers, the rail trail is just steps away. The Echo Reservoir boat dock is a quick 5 minutes away. A short 15 minute drive puts you in the heart of downtown Park City and three prime ski resorts (Park City Mountain Resort, The Canyons and Deer Valley).
The Moses Taylor Farmhouse was our family's Thanksgiving destination and it was incredible! It was sparkling clean, had lots of parking (including two spaces in the garage), was convenient to the grocery store and small-town Main Street, and the yard was huge and a delight for our dogs to explore. He house and hospitality exceeded our expectations, especially all the special, thoughtful touches, like fresh flowers, the pumpkin cheesecake (!), the cute toiletries, the artistically folded napkins, water bottles in the rooms, robes hanging in the bathrooms, and on and on! The farmhouse is a mix of old-fashioned charm and modern amenities. For example, the bathrooms feature antique vanities updated to support modern sinks and faucets, and despite it's country farm theme, the kitchen offers what appears to be the latest-model appliances. One of the two family rooms with big-screen TV's also had a wood-burning stove, with a stack of firewood, and matches for our use. The experience was a bit surreal: Norman Rockwell meets The Ritz-Carlton! We couldn't have had a more lovely Thanksgiving. We all hope to have occasion to go back again!
Your farmhouse is everything you advertised. It was thoroughly equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay and to cook a variety of foods for the picky family. My folks who are huge antique collectors loved the decor and charm. We could imagine someone had a fabulous time decorating and shopping for this house. The more you looked in each room the more you saw. A couple things we noticed that may help the next guest have an even better stay was the blow dryer in the bathroom did not seem to work. I tried it in a couple outlets to double check it. Also my 80 year old mom fell when she stepped from the living room into the dining room. She broke a wine glass so I wanted to be sure that you knew that and could replace this. Also when she cut herself I looked in all the obvious spots for a bandaid and could not find one. Perhaps a reference to a first aid kit in the house. Thanks again for a wonderful stay and we would definitely love to rent your farmhouse again.
We loved staying at this house for a week. It was extremely clean, cozy, spacious and quiet. The area is central to many scenic drives, Park City, Ogden, Salt Lake City. Antelope Island State Park, Red Butte Botanical Garden, Alpine Loop Scenic Drive and Snowbird Aerial Tram are all within a reasonable distance. We enjoyed great meals at Taggart's Grille, Ruth's Diner, Grappa Italian (Park City), and Snake Creek Grille. We loved seeing all of the livestock along the roads as well as lots of wildlife. It was great to have this rental home to come back to at the end of the day and truly relax. We found this to be a much needed respite from our busy everyday lives. We highly recommend this property.
This charming and peaceful farmhouse is about 15 min. from Park City. Beautiful flowers surround the house, the wrap around porch has comfortable furniture with throws ready for you to curl up with a good book. The outdoor space also includes a huge backyard (read " field") with 2 grills and a fire pit in case you want to cook out.
Inside, the house is filled with trendy, country-chic, quaintness alongside antiques. We were greeted upon arrival by a warm welcome note next to fresh flowers, which were also placed throughout the house.
Jay and Lynn were hospitable beyond anything I've ever seen on VRBO.
We loved the town, the home, and the owners!
I stayed 2 nights here over Labor Day weekend, and my only wish is that I could have stayed longer! The property is absolutely perfect in every way. The owners were always prompt to reply to my emails if I had any questions, and I'm very grateful to them to allow us to bring our two (well behaved) Australian Shepherds for the weekend.
The home is beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and has a lovely yard for the dogs to romp.
It's close proximity to Park City is a perfect 15 minutes away, so close enough to the hustle and bustle of the resort area, yet quiet enough to see the milky way at night.
All in all a wonderful homey place to stay.
