This comfortable apartment in a beautiful historic building has belonged to the family for a long time. The city of La Spezia is privileged because is close to the sea, Cinque Terre, Lerici, Portovenere, as well as cities of art such as Pisa, Florence, Arezzo. Convenient for all kinds of excursions. \

Location is disappointing
While the apartment itself was nice, the location- directly across from the container terminal is the worst. A huge container terminal/port blocks all views. The terminal works 24/7 and is so noisy you can't open any windows. The owner was lovely but I cannot honestly recommend a stay.
Great place to stay in La Spezia
The apartment is spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped and furnished. It is also well located as it overlooks the quayside and you can find few buses lines just downstairs. Presence of shops nearby and you can easily park your car in the neighbourhood.
The owner is very friendly and helped us a lot by answering all our (sometimes weird) questions; he can easily be joined by phone and even by Whatsup.
We stayed there with our two little boys who enjoyed their time watching all the activities of the industrial port.
Actually, the port was a positive point and the only negative one of this apartment because of the noise at night, but we finally got used to it and it didn’t wake up the kids at night.
In two words: very good choice of apartment. A big thanks to the family Calo – Scopesi for all you help!

We've never had such a disaster. Let's start with the host representative that couldn't leave fast enough after witnessing our surprise. One, it's across the street from the docks, across the street. Noise is quite incredible. No air conditioning, four (4) fans, two (2) broken not usable, two (2) broken bot worked a bit not strong, it was around 35 degrees, couldn't open the window because of the noise across the street. Cleanliness, if you walked from the shower to the bedroom you're feet would be blackened dirty, floors not washed. I would not recommend, I would not go back. I learned the hard way to read the comments, all the comments...
Appartement spacieux, environnement bruyant.
Bel appartement ancien, bien équipé et spacieux. Environnement très bruyant due à la rue très passante (circulation incessante) et à l'activité portuaire (défilé de camions) située juste en face.
un appartement très bruyant
grand appartement situé sur une route fréquentée, en face de la gare maritime ou jour et nuit transitent des gros containers sur camions ou trains à 20/30 mètres de la chambre: impossible de dormir
c'est certainement pire en été faute de climatisation et de double vitrage
il est indispensable de l'insonoriser et il mériterait ces investissements pour etre valorisé et donc plus rentable
ne pas oublier d'informer à l'avance de la taxe de séjour
The apartment is a 10 minute walk from the sea as well as from the harbor which is connected with ferries to Cinque Terre and Portovenere. Likewise, the train station is only a few minutes away.
By train, you can reach Cinque Terre in 5 to 15 mins,Pisa and Lucca in 1 hour
and Florence in 2 hours.
The bus station is less than 100 meters from the apartment with buses to Portovenere`s and Lerici`s Beaches. Easily accessible both the marine park of Cinque Terre and the park of the Apuan Alps and the marble quarries of Carrara.
Moreover, the swimming pool, tennis courts and all the restaurants and supermarkets are within a few minutes. Versilia is just 30 minutes away with its beautiful shops and VIP Weekly market,and last but not least the beautiful beaches.
The apartment is 'wide, 100 square meters. with a view of the commercial port, completely renovated able to have up to 8 beds. . Room with double bed, second bedroom with 2 beds, LIVING ROOM with 2 comfortable sofa bed for 2 persons each. Kitchen, 1 bathroom with shower. Washing machine and dishwasher. The apartment is well-heated in the cold season.
Hints and tips from the owner
The pool, tennis courts and all the restaurants and supermarkets are within a few minutes. Theatre and Cinema within 200 meters.
