The apartment is located on the 1st and last floor of a small

fisherman's house. Access is via a picturesque pedestrian street with stairs.

The very refined decoration, inspired by the artist Matisse, is available in shades of white, blue, ecru, for a "holiday home" atmosphere.

Buried in the lush vegetation, the terrace is conducive to idleness.

N The calm is disturbed by the rumors of the mistral, the cry of gulls and the sound of cicadas.

By strolling the alleys between bougainvillea and fig trees, you will discover the charm of Marseille and Malmousque the Roucas Blanc, St. Victor, our Lady of the Guard ... yet the Old Port is but 10 minutes away (by bus). ..

A very cosy an clean flat in a lovely surrounding.

Lovely location for those who appreciate a "village" and friendly atmosphere. Quiet without being secluded. Flat basic but clean and charming with all the necessary amenities.

On the down side, a little steep before reaching the flat but if you follow Mrs Larcheron' s wise advice (if you are walking with a heavy luggage that is) best to use the Dardànelles street.

Mrs Larcheron is a very attentive, thorough and helpful landlady and will do all she possibly can to be of assistance to you.

Last but not least her charges are most reasonably priced considering the flat and its lovely location in the well sought after Vallon des Auffes.

A superb little apartment from which to explore Marseille - brilliant value for money!

We really enjoyed our stay at Anne-Marie's home. She was very welcoming, even though we arrived close to midnight, she met us at the apartment with the keys. Our French is very limited and her English is a bit better but similar, having said this we managed to get through without any issues and she was a great host! There were 3 of us and there was just about enough room but to be honest, we didn't stay in the house much given the fact it was summer in Marseille. I recommend this place as just that though, a base for which to explore Marseille. Even for 2 people, there might not be enough room in which to 'live' in it for an extended period. But I'm not sure anyone would complain about this given the low price. The outside area is really good as well, as the neighbour is built on a hill, you get this staggered housing effect around you which is quite cool. It gets the sun pretty much from rise to sunset. The 'back yard' is slightly shared with next door but their outside area is a on a lower level and a little bit round the corner so it doesn't encroach on your privacy too much. The Old Port is a good 20+ mins walk away (5 mins on the bus) but there is a very small port just 5 mins away with a few nice restaurants which always seemed busy. Just as an aside, Anne-Maries charges €50 for linen/towels so factor this into your budget. Remember to ask her for the portal wifi router.

Enchanté !

Tout a commencé par un accueil parfait et ponctuel.La maison nous a tout de suite plu. La place de parking dans une residence voisine

etait parfaite.L emplacement de la Maison MATISSE est vraiement idéale avec une terrasse ensoleillée,privative et sans vis à vis.Vivre au sein du quartier du vallon des auffes est une experience des plus sympathique.Une station de bus de chaque coté de rue de la maison.Attendre son

bus à la station vallon des auffes fait que vous ne souhaiter qu un seule chose est que le bus n arrive pas trop tot tant la vue est féerique.

La maison nous a apporté toutes satisfactions (propreté,rangements,literies et documentations multiples sur la ville de Marseille.Nous avons fait la connaissance de Mme Larcheron avec laquelle nous avons tout de suite sympathisé.

Nous recommandons vivement cette location pour son emplacement,son coté typique et le sérieux de sa propriétaire.

Venir en vacances a Marseille est Formidable experience.

Petite maison typique, coquette, et bien équipée, dans un quartier pittoresque.

Accueil chaleureux, délicates attentions de Madame Larcheron (Mmmh ! les "navettes" de la Chandeleur !).

Dans le quartier, pas de voitures, des ruelles qui courent entre les maisons et montent jusqu'aux collines.

Quelques escaliers à grimper, et on trouve tous les commerces alimentaires, et des bus fréquents qui vous mènent à la rencontre des marseillais, au vieux port, dans les quartiers anciens ou rénovés ou au MUCEM et au fort Saint-Jean, sur la corniche... Et le soir, on est bien contents de retrouver la douce maison...

Merci à la propriétaire pour cet excellent séjour.

Au calme!

Logement simple mais sympathique, convient bien pour deux. Sans doute juste à quatre, il faut le savoir.

L'accès voiture n'est pas possible, heureusement un parking disponible pas trop loin.

L'énorme avantage est que le calme est absolu, reposant dans une ville comme Marseille.

Très proche de la mer.
